Don't think twice, lets draw mice!
Stage 1
Next draw a semi-oval directly below ( horizontal ), link the first line to the semi-oval by a line at either side (see picture).
Draw in a small oval shape ( vertical ) overlapping into the first oval shape (see picture).
Link to this using two upward curving lines on each side at the top of the second oval (see picture).
At the base of the first oval on the left hand side draw a 'C' shape.
Exactly opposite draw a reverse 'C' shape (remember to leave a gap at the bottom right hand side).
Draw a second line (to show the outer edge of the chain link).
Where you have left the gap draw in a looping line ( to show the string ).
Draw in the other end of the string at the back of the chain link (see picture).
Stage 2
Now draw in Holly's thumb and fingers wrapped around the string and both sides of his arm bending slightly down and to the left.
Stage 3
At the top of this line draw a small circle (for Holly's mouth).
Inside the mouth draw in a small butterfly shape (for the tongue) and colour around the tongue.
Draw in a broad 'C' shape to make up Holly's snout ( see picture).
On the top line of Holly's snout and just above and to the right of this draw his eyes (one circle should overlap the first).
Draw in his eye lids and two smaller circles for his pupils (see picture).
Finish by drawing in a slightly larger circle for his nose, draw in a small circle close to the end (don't colour this in as this is to show light reflecting off his nose), Colour the rest of Holly's nose in.
Stage 4
Each of the Holly leaves are made up by curving and spiking as you draw (do 4 curves and spikes, when you get to the end draw back down the other side again curving and spiking (see picture).
Draw in the lines on the leaves (see picture).
To the left of Holly's eyes draw a large semi-circle for his left ear (see picture).
Draw in the right ear using a curved line between Holly's nose and the Holly leaf on his head (see picture).
Stage 5
From the bottom of Holly's left ear draw in a curved line (don't join it at the bottom as you need to leave room for his feet).
About half way down the line you have just drawn, draw a sweeping reverse 'S' shape out to the left, directly under this draw a similar shape and bring it to a point at the end (this makes up the mouses tail).
Draw in reverse 'C' shapes along the mouses tail.
Add in shading either side of Holly's eye lids (see picture).
Holly's arm is next, draw in an 'S' shape just under his left ear, next to it draw in a similar shape (wider at the top and narrower at the bottom), join this at the bottom (see picture).
Draw in Holly's fingers one circle overlapping the next, (see picture).
Finish by drawing Holly's feet, draw in a curvey 'L' shape, again top and bottom and end in a semi circle to show one of his toes.
Overlap three more toes (see picture).
Draw in Holly's other heal (just behind his first foot).
Finish by drawing in a small number six for his tummy button.
Stage 6
At the top of the 'C' shape draw a small curved line across to the right, draw in a large semi-circle for Angels left ear (see picture).
Draw in two circles one overlapping the other (for Angels eyes).
Draw in a semi-oval just under Angels eyes and link back around to between his eyes (this makes up his snout).
At the end of his snout draw in another circle for Angels nose, towards the end of this circle draw a smaller circle - this is to show the reflection).
Shade Angels nose in (see picture).
At the top of Angels head draw in an oval (from half way up his left ear), draw in a smaller oval shape inside the first (this makes up Angels halo).
Draw a curved line behind the halo to show Angels right ear.
Finally above his eyes draw in two curved lines for his eyebrows.
Stage 7
Next draw in his arms dangling down towards the floor, one behind the other, the first arm starts between the rope around him and his snout draw two lines curving downwards, make sure the tops of the lines overlap onto his body (see picture).
Draw Angels stumpy outstretched fingers using small semi-circles.
Repeat the above steps for Angels other arm, which lays just behind his first arm. (see picture).
Draw in Angels tummy using a sweeping curved line which you will need to join up in a few places around the arms and near the snout (see picture).
Draw two more lines of 'm' shapes on the wings to show the other wing tips (see picture).
Using the same technique as the last stage to complete the visible part of the wing behind Angels ear (see picture for help).
Draw a curved line to finish Angels back (see picture).
Next draw Angels heal and foot, start by drawing a 'n' shape and curve around to the toes, from the toe curve the line back up and around in a backwards 'S' shape which should link into his tummy (see picture).
Behind the foot you have just drawn draw in his other toes (see picture for help).
Now for Angels wings, starting next to the rope just to the left draw in a line along his back and over the heal of his foot, curve the end up and back (see picture).
Using your pen/pencil in the same way you would to draw 'm' shapes curve the line along the edge to make the wing tips, link this to just above the point you started from on the string (see picture).
