Snowy the Snowman
"It's Snowing ", the boy at the window let out a shout!More children came over, "what's the noise all about?"
Sure enough could be seen giant flakes of snow,
Settling all around as icy winds did gust and blow.
Children wrapped up warm, opened up the door,
As the snow had drifted it fell in on the floor.
The children listened carefully could hear a magic tune,
Carried on the icy winds through the winters gloom.
Working really hard our children rolled a ball,
Of the finest snow and made it four feet tall.
Next came his head made with yet more snow,
A top hat placed upon it made him look just so,
Next a scarf to keep him warm,
From any nasty winters storm.
One baby carrot, saved specially for a magical reindeer,
A broom held there in his hand to keep your pathways clear.
Finally lumps of magic coal dug from deep within the ground,
Hold them to your ears and listen for a special sound.
The amazing whistling sound you hear from deep within
Will make this snowman's eyes sparkle, give him a such a grin.
Make his buttons shine, as he laughs and sings along
To the music on the wind, to Erno's whistling song.
Here on this most special of Christmas nights,
Our Snowy shines brighter than any fairy lights.
He will always be there on a snow filled day,
when the children call for him to play.
He's there on the wind when the first snowflakes fall,
Just waiting for you to roll that first snowball.
All the Best

O.k Lets draw
Stage 1
Draw two circles ( with one overlapping the other ).
Next draw in his eye lids ( see picture ).
Draw two small circles for his eyes.
Stage 2
Start to draw away and slightly downwards to the left just under his eyes.
Draw four arches and curve up to a point at the end ( see picture ).
Now curve the line under and draw in five u-shapes back up and join under the eyes.
Draw in curved shapes to show the ridges of the carrot.
Stage 3
Draw in Snowys smiley mouth and shade it ( As remember it's really a lump of coal ! from Erno's magic mine ).
Stage 4
Draw in the rim of Snowys hat across the top of his eyes and just past the edges of the semi circle you have just drawn ( again see the picture ).
Loop the edges upwards and draw a similar line just above the first one ( see picture ).
Link the rim of the hat downwards and join to Snowys face.
Stage 5
Draw a curved shape to make the top of the hat and bring another curved line down on the right hand side finishing at the hat rim again ( see picture ).
Draw in the band around the hat ( see picture ).
Draw in the laughter lines on Snowys face ( see picture ).
Stage 6
Just in from the three arches draw a sweeping line down and to the left ( see picture ) draw a curved line around to form the bottom of one end of the scarf, now draw in the other side of this end and sweep it back up and finish at the edge of Snowys face.
From the same point at Snowys neck line draw in the second half of the scarf ( as before - see picture for help ).
Next draw the other part of the scarf on Snowys neck line, start at the bottom right hand side of Snowys head, draw in three arches ( slightly out and down to the right ).
Now draw a line from the bottom arch and join to the overhang of the scarf ( see picture ).
For the last part of this section draw in the stripes and add the fringe at the bottom of each end ( see picture ).
Stage 7
Now draw in a slightly larger 'L' shape to make up the bottom of his arm ( again see picture for help ).
Next draw in snowys thumb ( see picture ), this is basically three quarters of a an oval shape.
Draw in a larger oval shape, slightly overlapped by Snowys thumb,( see picture ).
Stage 8
Starting just below Snowys hand draw a line straight down curve it around at the bottom and bring the other side straight back up and join it at the hand.
Directly above the two bottom lines, draw in two more lines above Snowys thumb ( see picture ).
At the end of these two lines draw in a circle and make sure it overlaps the ends ( see picture for help ).
Criss cross lines across the circle you have just drawn ( this is to give the effect of string holding the broom together ).
Draw in some random lines on the shaft of the broom ( see picture ).
Draw in the Brooms bristles and the lines for the string that run across to hold it together.( see picture ).
Stage 9
Draw an oval leaning away to the left to make snowys thumb and follow this with a bigger oval to make up his hand, join this to another sweeping line and bring this back following the top curve of his arm ( see picture ).
Finish this part by drawing in his palm line.
Stage 10
Now draw in the right hand side of Snowys body, draw a line behind his arm, then continue this down again in a sweeping line away and to the right, ( see picture ).
Draw in the mounds of snow that lay on the ground all around Snowy, ( see picture ).
