How to Fall Asleep Without Drugs

If you're like many people who suffer from a sleeping disorder, you've often wondered, how to fall asleep without drugs. I know I have. I refused to take all these sleeping pills out there. Most are habit forming and many are just plain dangerous. After awhile, you end up worse than you started.

This site will do its best to teach you how to fall asleep quick.

Sleep Tips

Here are some tips I have found helpful in allowing me to sleep better:

Keep a schedule: We are creatures of habit. If you go to bed at 11 one day, 10 the next, and 2am the next you are confusing your body. This will only make sleep problems worse.

Avoid Caffeine: Caffeine is a chemical that shuts off the part of your brain that says you need rest. Some people react differently to caffeine than others. In some people, having caffeine in the middle of the day can still effect their sleep at night.

Your bed isn't a workstation: Remember, we're creatures of habit. If you use the bed for other things such as work, homework, or TV, your body will not relate bed to sleep.

Don't stress if you can't sleep: Stressing out about sleep will only make matters worse.

Exercise...but not at night: Exercising more can be a great way to help your sleep, but avoid doing so at night. Give yourself at least 4 hours from the time you exersice until bed.

Be bored before bed: Don't spend the minutes before bed brainstorming your new business idea or thinking hard about something. Spend 30 minutes before bed doing something somewhat boring, such as watching an old TV show.

Don't watch the clock: This will just stress you out. Turn the clock around if you have to.

Avoid naps: If you had a rough night, avoid napping the following day. It will only make your next night's sleep harder.

Brainwave Entertainment

Brainwave Entertainment is a somewhat new form of natural sleep remedies that has been catching on. I have had good success with it myself.

Brainwave Entertainment is, in a nutshell, audio designed to reprogram your brain to sleep. There are certain patterns of sounds that tend to trigger sleep. You simply listen to these sounds when you go to bed and they slowly drift you into unconsciousness. It's hard to believe, but many people have had seen great success with these.
