Nothing works until you do. It's that simple.

However, if you are doing the wrong work and focusing on the wrong areas, then the wrong results are achieved. If you don't really focus on how to get a flat stomach, it will continue to evade you. Eat more (sounds mad but I will explain) and move less. To really get those 6 pack abs, you just need to know WHAT to do and HOW to do it.

 

There is absolutely NO NEED to spend money on home exercise equipment, ab belts, ab rockers and even expensive diet pills. People may find themselves exercising on the abdominal machines and seeing some results for their efforts but most of the time the machines end up as expensive clothes horses. I am going to tell you about a really simple exercise that can be done anywhere, and I really mean ANYWHERE, that REALLY works. Its so simple, its often overlooked - its the simple things that get the most results.

 

This exercise can be done at any time of the day and in any location but the real secret is that your shoulders have nothing to do with it! I urge you to practice in front of the mirror first to make sure your shoulders don't end up around your ears and your eye brows in your scalp. I do these exercises anytime I have to stand in line for something. Just suck your stomach in as hard as you can and hold the position for about 30 seconds or so, it might take time to build up to 30 seconds. Release and relax for 30 seconds and then do it again. When you release, don't make it obvious that you have been sucking in your stomach if you have company! After just a week or two, you will really begin to notice some differences with your abdominals and really start to get a flat stomach. Don't forget to breathe.

 

Another way to help you get a flat stomach is to learn how to boost your metabolic rate. The faster your metabolism, the faster the body burns and uses food. Food is fuel. Think of a car. There is only so much petrol that can fit in the tank. If you try and fit in too much, it has nowhere to go. Its the same with body fat. Eat what you want, when you want but stop when you are full. Believe it or not, actually not eating ENOUGH can put your body into famine mode and it will begin to store fat. Eat more and enjoy it. Eat slowly and really savour every mouthful.

One way of increasing your metabolism is to increase the amount of lean muscle mass your body has. Muscle require more calories then fat so not only will you look better but you will be able to eat more and not gain weight. Add lean muscle by performing a few simple strength training exercises and some resistance training. This can be as easy as getting some wrist or ankle weights and wearing them while you walk.

Keep mixing up your routine, it will stop you getting bored and help keep you motivated. Exercise with a friend, join a club, even just take the dog for a walk but what ever you do, keep doing it and keep mixing it up.

Learning how to get a flat stomach is literally a click away. The flatter your stomach, the more muscle you will have and the more you will be able to eat. Now that's a WIN WIN situation that even I can't argue with.
