How to get backlinks

As you might know already, backlinks are the determinant factor to your websites rank in Google search results. But also keep in mind, Google does not determine your rank website's rank in search engine with the number of backlinks but the quality of backlinks. When people start building backlinks to their website, they seem to forget this factor that very little quality backlinks can help them to gain a very significant rank in search engines.

What do I mean by quality backlinks?

The websites from authorities, reputed, high traffic websites can only provide quality backlinks. But these backlnks are very hard to get. According to Search Engine Experts (SEO) expert's, Google provides more value to website that have high Page Rank (PR) and considers them an authority once a websites PR keeps increasing. Google determines a websites PR with the amount of traffic it is receiving. The PR count starts from 0 up until 10. When a new domain is purchased, a website usually has PR "na" (not answered). But as the website starts receiving traffic, the PR of the website starts climbing from PR 0,1,2,3 and so on. PR 10 is very rare case and only website like Google, facebook, CNN, Adobe, w3 etc have it.

How to get backlinks?

Backlinks for your website can be acquired in many different ways and from time to time search engine experts run tests to know which backlinks are effective to your websites. As you know, backlinks from high PR website are very difficult to acquire and sometimes almost impossible. Usually in many cases webmasters from high PR website do sell sitewide backlinks from their homepage which has high PR but these backlinks are not safe and are not natural in the eyes of Google. Backlinks from a single page or post are natural and will also give you link juice.

Let me tell you about my experience in getting backlinks...

I spent countless hours trying to figure everything about backlinks and spent more hours in implementing all backlink strategies. And more importantly, I lost a lot of money along the way buying backlinks from everywhere I manage to do. Initially, I tried all the so called offers, "1000 backlinks for $9.99" and so on and guess what...the money went in trash. I never noticed any difference in search engine ranking. I then tried buying sitewide backlinks from high PR websites and my website was no longer in search engine listings.
