Create Your Own Leads Generation System For Your Affiliate/Network Marketing Business

Learn the difference between leads you purchase. Co-generated leads. Or leads you generate yourself using lead capture pages. And what you can do with them after you have acquired them.

Buying Leads vs. Generating Your Own Leads

Which Method Is Better?

Most of us have bought leads for our business. Some are for cold calling and some you supposedly can email. But most of the leads turn out to be useless. With bad phone numbers or bad email addresses. The costs can be from $.25 to as much as $5.00 a piece. Ouch!

First off, you usually have no clue where they came from. Or how old they are. You do not know what kind of ad they responded to. Most of them are just curiosity seekers. Who wanted more information on a opportunity. They usually respond to a dozen or more ads or newsletters. By the time you contact them, they have no clue what they responded to.

Or the list was so oversold you are the hundredth person who has tried to contact them with your offer. Emailing them, I would be scared with the new spam laws. They did not opt into your list. They did not visit your website. If you try to import them into your autoresponder, you could lose your account. I know some people do this. They do not care or like taking alot of risk. Or just do not know any better.

Several autoresponder companies will not allow you to import co-registered leads either. Even if you got them legitimately. If they do, you must have their name, email address and IP address. Otherwise you are out of luck. A couple of years ago that was not a problem. After a few costly lawsuits most of them only allow you to add subscribers through their subscription form. That you put on your lead capture page or website.

Co-registered leads are ones you get from your replicated website from some business entity. Or your got them through doing a JV Giveaway (Joint Venture). Where you giveaway an ebook or software application you have the rights to. Or you have a lead company advertise your newsletter for you. Still the autoresponder companies consider them to be co-registered.

There are a few companies that let you get around this. Though they cost a little more than Aweber and GetResponse. And you have to accept responsibility if a problem arises. If you are promoting a good company and the lead opted into your affiliate webpage, you should have no problem.
As they have a back-up file to prove when your lead opted in. They capture their name, email address, IP address with the time they requested your info.

If you are good at building your own lead capture page. You know html or how to use a wysiwyg editor,
(What You See Is What You Get). And can install a subscription form on you webpage. You are probaly better off using an affiliate lead capture page. From the company who's products or services you are promoting. They usually start your leads off promoting the product or service. With your affiliate link embedded in the email series. And then you can import you leads into your autoresponder. And can continue emailing them with your emails.

In my opinion the best leads are the ones you have generated through your advertising efforts. They are fresh, and they were interested in what you had to offer. Using an affiliate lead capture page that sells a low cost retail product. Helps you stay in business long enough, till you get your business profitable. Helps you pay your advertising costs through affiliate commissions.

Plus your leads usually have to confirm their email address. To recieve the information product you are giving away in exchange for their email address. Which usually is an ebook, video or series of reports. So you just have to concentrate on driving traffic to your affiliate lead capture page.

Creating a win win situation for you and the company you are promoting. They sell more product and you earn commissions and generate leads for your primary business. It is a great way for us newbies to build our business. Instead of spending all of our money buying leads and advertising. And eventually having to go out of business. Until we can save up enough money to try it again. I did this a couple of times until I got smart. And started getting paid to prospect and use my leads to work into my primary business.

My first lead generation system that I used was the The Renegade Network Marketer I started using it in Oct. 2007. I have generated over 1,100 leads and earned $1,200 in commissions so far. A lot better than creating my own system. Allowed me to concentrate on driving traffic to my affiliate webpage. Instead of spending tons of time creating my own lead capture page. And spending all my advertising money. I tried this first, before finding an easier way to generate leads. Since then I got several more affiliate lead capture pages working for me.

If you want to check all the ones I am currently using go to Generate Leads For Your MLM/Network Marketing Business I am now generating thousands of leads and getting paid to do so.
