How to Get Rid of Fleas

Do you know much about how to get rid of fleas?  Flea medicine, also known as flea prevention and flea control, comes in all types.  Many types of flea control, such as revolution flea control, frontline flea control and advantage flea and tick control are all forms of fairly toxic poison.

Your vet may tell you that frontline flea treatment or advantage flea treatment are safe to use on dog fleas and cat fleas, but how safe do you think a product is that carries warnings about trying not to handle the product, and washing your hands well if the flea killer product comes into contact with your hands?

The good news is that although these flea treatments are very effective, you can get rid of fleas with natural flea treatments.  Learning how to kill fleas can be a matter of looking into the natural remedies that are available.  Products that contain fine grade diatomaceous earth, sage, burdock, garlic and brewers yeast.

The natural flea treatments are not only an effective flea treatment for pets, but are also effective at killing fleas in carpet.

Flea bites can be a real problem if you don't know how to get rid of fleas - especially if your pet is allergic to flea bites, which many are.  So you really do need to know how to kill fleas when they strike, but even more importantly, methods of flea prevention.

Fleas also bring with them the problem of tapeworm.  Canine tapeworm and cat tapeworm are additional parasites that you'll need to deal with for the comfort of your pet if you don't use effective flea control.  Tapeworm symptoms include diarrhea with excessive mucous, and a "rumbling" tummy. Tapeworms in dogs and cat tapeworm live in your pet's intestine.

So whether you're a die-hard revolution flea control advocate and don't mind using poison on your pet, or whether you're open to a natural flea treatment as a flea treatment for pets, flea prevention should be your ultimate aim.
