How To Improve Golf Swing - Teeing The Ball

How To Tee The Ball Properly To Maximize Results

Short Iron & Wedges - Place the tee so that only the head is showing.

Long Irons - Leave 1/4" (quarter inch) of the tee showing.

Woods & Hybrids - Leave 1/2" (half inch) of the tee showing.

Driver - Ensure that the bottom of the ball is at the top of the clubface.

You want to be making contact with the ball at the start of your upswing with the driver (hence the higher tee). This will give you a high launch angle and produce less spin. You want to hit the ball above the center of the clubface to give you maximum distance without the spin.
