Install over an existing backsplash

Now, there are stainless-steel backsplashes that install on an existing wall with epoxy, giving a kitchen an updated look in a matter of minutes. Be sure to flatten out any bumps and valleys as it is essential to do this right the first time!

Installation Instructions

The following information is provided to assist you in keeping your new backsplash looking its best for years to come!

Preparation

1. Make sure the surface on which you will place the backsplash is dry and free
from debris and dust, as this impedes the adhesive bond strength.

2. We recommend a combination of Liquid Nails construction adhesive and
two-sided tape for installation. Two-sided tape gives the panel immediate
adhesive strength and the construction adhesive gives the panel a stable,
solid bond. These materials are included with your installation kit.

3. Ensure that your backsplash panel is carefully lined up before installing your
backsplash, as the two-sided tape will secure the backsplash immediately.

Step One: Clean the surface on which you will place your backsplash, ensuring
that it is free of dust, grease, loose paint or any other debris.

Step Two: Open and dispense the included Liquid Nails construction adhesive
on back side of the panel and spread it around.

Step Three: Peel off all eight two-faced tape backers.

Step Four: Adhere the panel to the cleaned surface and push firmly to the wall.

Step Five: Peel the protective PVC tape off the front side of the panel. Be careful not to dent or scratch the front or back of the panel.

Step Six: Clean front side of panel with a stainless cleaner or mild soap.
