A lot of people ask me how they can lose 10 pounds. I always reply by asking them how soon they want to do it. Most of the answers I get are 3,4,5 days, a week or 2 weeks. Often I'm shocked at how fast people want to do this. They don't know how hard it can be.
However, I decided to put together this review of ways in which you can lose 10 lbs in 3,4,5 days, a week, or 2 weeks. Here are 2 suggested courses of action:
- Do 3 days of intense physical training and dieting. The best thing you can do is to go on a 3 day hiking and camping trip. The hiking will burn off a lot of energy and the camping will keep you away from junk food and the fridge. You need to be aware that if you're not physically active, don't do this as you may injure yourself.
- Go on a juice or detox diet - A juice Diet requires you to drink nothing but juice throughout the 3 day period. My recommendation is to give yourself at least 2 weeks to burn that much weight.

I've always been told this and at 41 years old I am finaly getting the hang of it - you have to make yourself a priority. You said that you eat when you're bored. I have discovered that if I get audio books - my library has a website to download audio books onto an mp3 but you most libraries have cds or tapes that you can listen to on a portable player - anyway, htis makes walking or running go by pretty quickly. If you are bored then put your time to a productive cause - walking or running while enjoying a story. It makes a big different. If you have a really good story then you look forward to walking/running again the next day. The power to change is within us all - we just need to get the drive to make the change - you can do it!!!

in reply to chea usually a huge difference can happen really fast if you cut out drinks that are bad for you like soda and sugarry juices, cofffees, or teas. use honey instead of sugar! in coffee or tea! its way healthier, twice as sweet, and tastes better.
also it really helps you to stop eating too much if you force yourself to eat something like an apple before your other food. you dont have to finish everything at once just because its on your plate.

in reply to Mercedes hay i know what your problem is.....you hit a plateau and that is probably because you need to switch up your workouts for example instead of doing 30 min of running all the time at the same pace , try to do 40 and switch it up like run fast and than slow so your confusing your body.....also if you always do 3 sets of 12 while weight lifting try doing a little more like 4 sets of 15 good luck

in reply to Mercedes the reason y this is happening to u is because now that u have lost some weight.. ur body is toning itself up and it will build some muscels and after a little while if u continue doing what u r doing the weight will melt off because ur body wont need it anymore! it happened to me and that is exactly what my trainer told me! just take ur time because that's the REAL way to lose weight! GOOD LUCK!

Hey kid!!! seriously, this is totally possible for you. You neeeeedd to do some lifting of some kind..i understand considering your age...this may be difficult in which you will also need to cut those snacks completely out of your diet....DRINK LEMON WATER AND EAT LEMONS!!! these work wonders...they cut the craving of sweets andddd they "burn" the excess fat!!! stay determined... you are so young; losing that much weight now is NOT difficult to do if you are motivated! talk to someone about what you are trying to do so that you have support...like from you family or rents...and tell them to try to eat the same decent foods as you so you are not as tempted... also, STAY POSSITIVE, DRINK WATER, AND SLEEEEP! you can sooooo do this!!! :)

I am 43 and I think I am going through perimenopause. All I do is think about food and eat. A few years ago I lost 30 pounds and was doing really good but then we moved about 6 months ago and I am just out of whack. We live on a main highway now and going out for a walk isn't convenient anymore and the nearest gym is almost 30 miles away. I just don't know how to get motivated again to get walking every day like I was or simply working out in my home. I just cannot seem to get situated and get on a schedule and it's driving me crazy as the pounds keep creeping up. I've gained back 10 pounds of the 30 I lost and NOTHING fits anymore. My husband and I are renewing our vows in June and I look terrible. How depressing. Help! (Thanks!)
