It seems like the majority of diets today focus on how to lose weight fast. But did you know the pounds you lose quickly are also the most likely to return? Not only that, when they do return they're likely to bring along several of their friends. Weight loss can't really be the quick-fix solution we might like. Diets might allow you to lose weight quickly, but at the expense of muscle tone and strength.Also, quick weight loss doesn't allow for long-lasting changes in our eating habits, and that is the real road to long lasting weight loss.

Aside from the science of losing weight, there is also the psychological component. Sustained weight loss, as you can guess, requires a change in your eating habits. Otherwise, you'll be on a weight-loss roller coaster which can really do damage to your body.
Quick weight loss simply won't prepare you for a lifetime of changed eating habits; drastic diets you may be able to tolerate for a few weeks will not teach you healthy and moderate eating habits for the rest of your life.

In one year you may have lost a lot of weight, but you may also have gained it all back and then some.But with a slower, and therefore healthier, diet plan you could look great in one year and be on the road to a long and healthy life in that slim body you dream about. Just look at the facts and make your choice. You lose weight fast but by eating healthy foods, not crash diets.

Quit snacking in between meals. This is especially true for those who have to travel a lot. They feel that the only time they can get a bite to eat is snacks and junk food.The main problem with most snacks and junk food is that they are usually less filling and contain a lot of fat and calories. Just think about French fries... tempting but terribly fattening.
Increase the amount of fiber in your diet. The fiber will help you stay full longer and also your body burns more calories digesting high fiber foods then it does to digest simple carbs. Just switching from white bread to 100% whole grain bread will make a difference. And remember to look for the 100%. If it doesn't say 100% whole wheat or 100% whole grain it's basically white bread with some coloring and enough whole grain to legally say whole grain.
