I have a great Lasagna recipe my Mother used to make. This is an easy to make Lasagna dish and works great with salad and garlic bread. This is a great recipe to make for special occasions, dinner or even lunch time for the kids.
For a healthier version, you can substitute any of the ingredients in the recipe with low fat, fat free or organic products. The serving size is 4-6 and cottage cheese is used in the recipe to add a rich creamy flavor and texture. It is the best Lasagna dish I've tried to date and I think will be a new favorite for you as well. It's a family favorite and sure to please everyone!

Ingredients
* 1 box Lasagna noodles
* 1-2 lbs. of hamburger meat
* 1 large curd of cottage cheese
* 1 bag each of shredded cheese or you can 1 pack each of cheese slices (mozzarella, cheddar & pepper jack)
* 2 jars of pasta sauce of your choice (Hunts Traditional is a basic sauce you can use)
* 1-2 lbs. of hamburger meat

Directions
* Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees
* Boil lasagna noodles until soft for about 25-30 min.
* Brown 1-2 lbs. hamburger meat seasoning with rosemary, oregano, thyme, garlic (or you can use
* Italian seasoning)
* Once the hamburger meat is browned, drain the meat in a paper towel thoroughly
* Once the noodles have been cooked, drain the noodles in a paper towel thoroughly
* When the noodles and hamburger meat have been cooked and drained, spray a cooking dish with olive oil or Pam spray
* Start making the lasagna dish by layering in this order (hamburger meat, pasta sauce, shredded cheese and cottage cheese)
* Repeat until you get to the top layer (it should start to look like a lasagna dish now)
* Then add the final layer and place the dish in the oven for 45min - 1 hr depending on your oven
Let the dish cool for about 10 min. before eating and enjoy!

- I never use cottage cheese, always ricotta. My wife hates cottage cheese. Growing up we never used ricotta. Sometimes I think I'm just going to slip it in instead, but she's a redhead, and I'm not sure that the ensuing blast would leave the houses in the neighborhood undamaged! Thanks for this page!

- I love lasagna. Actually, everytime I go to an Italian restaurant or Pizza restaurant that have lasagna in their menu, I always ordered this. Yummy, love it.

- Very different recipe than what I am used to. The cottage cheese instead of Ricotta, but I love the three cheese combination, especially the pepper jack which is one of my favorites. Thanks for the recipe, I'll have to try it.
