The most important thing for making money with your blog is to have your blog refined to a targeted niche.

The biggest mistake I see with other bloggers is that they create blogs about everything and anything. E.g. what they had for breakfast, how to make money on ebay, which dog food is best etc. They have no focus.

Whereas blogs which are about one tight niche are the most profitable. Their readers like it more and Google likes it more. It's much easier to make a sale when the people who come to your blog like what they see.

That brings m to my next point.. you must promote/advertise products that are related to your blog. If you have a blog about hair growth, you should promote hair growth products.

So in short, keep your niche tight knit. If you try to target everyone, you'll end up hitting no-one.
