How To Meet A Ghost

There's one small problem:

No one was behind Mariel taking pictures. Look at the videos. Katy stood in other areas taking photos. No one else was taking part.

Mariel had her video camera in one hand and her still camera in the other. The cameras were held several feet apart.

We haven't been able to explain the shadows in the pictures.

Orbs in videos and photographs are too often thought to indicate a ghostly presence in a room. This is rarely the case. Orbs in photographs are usually caused by light flashing on dust, moisture, or other particles in the air.

In order to determine whether you are dealing with energy orbs, you need to see the overall behavior in your video or photographs. Did the orb seem to have some control of itself, moving in a specific pattern, showing up in another photograph, or was it one photo and it's gone?

You can also ask any possible entity to cooperate, as we've been doing in these videos: For example, go to a spot, raise your arms, and ask the entity to create an orb btween your arms. If that next photo shows an orb right where you asked it to go - bingo!

The pictures taken during this weekend had a good number of orbs in them. Yes, a lot could be dust; But the fact that the most orbs were photographed during our session and whenever the main conference room had panel discussion using a lot of professional psychics - well, you be the judge: Dust or "ghosts?"

Yes - it's possible that I could take the time to rename and renumber each and every file to freak people out. The technology is easy.

But to THINK of it - why do it? It certainly wouldn't be a joke worth staying up all night for - and I was exhausted.

The change was as instant as loading the pictures on the computer. I re-opened my camera disk and the files were still there with the original DSC names and numbers.

Moreover - some of the files were in a different order. For example: why is that old picture of my Christmas tree where it is, right after a picture of Chip Coffey?

Eventually that order would make sense: I had removed some photos from my camera disk before I went to the conference, and the Christmas tree was still there with its old file number of 10; the new photos moved up in order, and took new numbers.

But - I didn't have any file on my computer named lizzie. No photos, no document, nothing. I searched several times. I had never named a file lizzie myself - it's not a name I was fond of - for reasons that I will soon reveal. How did that name get onto these files?

When I came back on Saturday I told the GHOST Pro Team and others some of what had happened - but I didn't reveal the name on the files. I hoped the scheduled group seance Saturday night would draw whoever Lizzie was out - but the name was never said, and there were too many energies in the room.

We were sorry it didn't happen - when you have a series of events like this, you start hoping for more and more and more. As it was, other things happened: a psychic friend left an e-mail message for me to be on the lookout for a man with a walrus mustache. Eventually he showed up - a man who worked for the hotel suddenly walked up to me and said "what took you so long to get here?" I asked him why would he say that? He didn't know...But I did. I shied away from psychic work for most of my life. Now I couldn't deny it any longer.

It took me a long time to figure something else out: I needed to have more information from the entity. I crashed with the GHOST PRO team for the night, and got up very early the next morning, to figure out what to do.

It's then I remembered I had a pendulum with me.

I went down to the hall where we had all our experiences in the quiet of early Sunday morning, sat down with my pendulum, and asked if the entity was there. The pendulum leapt on the chain, eager to get started. With only yes, no, and I don't know answers available, it took an hour to get the jist of what was going on, but this is the condensed version of our communicatiion:

Lizzie was not attached to the hotel or the area the hotel was in, because she had no clue what I was talking about - she just kept saying yes, when I asked the question "do you belong here?"

She was an entity of quick changing moods, perturbed one moment, and like a child the next. The shifts showed in the speed in which the pendulum swung.

She had not liked me asking for her to sing for people (see the videos) when we were using the K-2 meter; she did want to be around me. Maybe. She didn't like the other people and a question about the crowd made the pendulum jump!

So, after that hour, while we had gotten further, I didn't have a lot.

I knew of one possibility, but I kept shoving it down. My mother had been adopted as a child; her natural mother's name had been Lizzie. Lizzie was a terrifying idea for me as a child, because my mother kept saying how she was afraid that Lizzie would come and take her away from the family that made her happy. The stories gave me nightmares.

When I got home from the conference, after I had downloaded more photos from my camera, and they STILL all said lizzie, I took out my pendulum and finally asked:

Lizzie are you with me?

Yes.

That's what she had meant by being "here."

I won't tell you what the next hour was like, at least not in detail. My grandmother finally became a human being for me, not a monster that might come in the window, as I had dreamed as a child. She turned out to be neither very good or very bad. She came because she knew my spirit guides, and they had asked her to come. I think my guides asked her because she would be the one spirit contact I would never think of on my own. They love to give me surprises!

I asked her things I now wanted to know. She answered. That's for me to keep now. We parted ways. But I've made my peace with her, and hopefully some peace for my late mother.

I finally found a picture of Lizzie, and now there is a file I set her name to, on the computer.

However: the name lizzie no longer appears when I download pictures, from that same camera disk. onto my computer. Lizzie got my attention, and no longer needs to write her name...
