How to setup Warcraf 3 to play DotA online

Defense of the Ancients (DotA) is a custom scenario for Warcraft III. The objective of the scenario is to destroy the opponents "Ancient". The two teams ancients are heavily guarded structures at opposing corners of the map.Players use powerful units known as heroes, and are assisted by allied heroes and AI-controlled fighters called "creeps". As in role-playing games, players level up their hero and use gold to buy equipment during the mission

DotA is more based on strategy and team work than individual play. Even though players have their own heroes, it is their teamwork that is very important to winning the game. Although factors like individual skills also matter, a very good player with team mates that doesn't care a lot about the team can't just win by himself against all his opponents.

First of all you need Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos & Frozen Throne expansion to play DotA. Setting up Warcraft 3 is easy just insert the CD in drive, follow on screen instructions, enter the cd-key, and wait till the installation is complete. After Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos installation is done insert the Frozen Throne CD and following on-screen instructions. When you are done installing Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos & The Frozen Throne go to the link listed above and download the latest DotA map. Then place the map in the Warcraft 3 directory in a folder named: Maps, after that go to the link below this text to download and install the latest patch. Latest patch available is the 1.23 version.

1. Download client - first download the game client from the garena web site (link below). Click on the link to start downloading. When the download is complete
Click "Run" to open the file "Garena_setup.EXE". Choose the directory where Garena will be installed. When the installation is complete press "Finish" to end the InstallShield wizard. And finnaly double-click on the Garena icon on the desktop to start the client.

2. Register - click on "Sing up now" button found in Garena Log-in menu to load the account registration form and fill up your account information

3. Log in - look for the Garena shortcut on desktop and run it. In the log in menu type your user name and password

4. Join a room- once in Garena lobby, select the War3 RPG and join any DotA room. I play mostly in Croatia Dota room 2

5. Set the game path - once inside the garena room click settings and find the war3.exe file

6. Start game - after setting up the game .exe, click on start game

7. Play game - after the game has been loaded, go to Local Area Network. To host a game click on create game. To join games double click on a game on the list and start playing

1. Download Eurobattle.net client installer from the link below

2. Unrar the Eurobattle.net installer, and double click it to start the setup follow on screen instructions and finish the setup
Password for the RAR file is: eurobattle

3. Create an account on Euro Battle.net server (link below)

4. Start euroloader.exe from desktop, it will start warcraft 3. When warcraft starts click on battlenet.net

5. Enter your username and password

6. Find a host from the list and play the game
