How to Put Movies On To Your PSP

If you think that your PSP is only for playing games, you might want to think again. PSP is more than just your average hand held gaming system. The PlayStation Portable is also a multimedia device where it can also store and play music and even movies. As you can see, if you have a PSP, you will be able to enjoy quite a lot more things from it other than just playing PlayStation Portable games.

However, you need to understand that there is a process that you need to follow in order for you to successfully download and play movies in your PlayStation Portable or PSP.

You need to understand that PlayStation Portable can only play MP4 movie files. This means that if you have an existing movie that is stored in your computer in the different file format, such as AVI or MPEG, then you will never be able to play it in your Sony PSP.

If you want to download the movie in your PSP, there are basically two things that you can do. The first is by converting the file format to MP4 by using a special software program, and the second option is by downloading the movie again, only this time you need to get the MP4 version.

Now that you have the MP4 movie format, the next step is to download the movie to your PSP. To do this, you need to understand that there is a process that you need to follow and not just by dragging and dropping the movie to any file folder you want in the PSP.

The first step is by connecting the computer and the PSP together through the USB port. You need to make sure that the PSP is switched off before you do so in order for it to work. Once you connected the PSP to the computer, you can now switch on the PSP.

In your PSP, go to the settings menu and press the X button. This will link the PSP and the computer. After doing this, go to the MY COMPUTER in your computer and you will see that another volume will be available. This extra volume is your PSP or your PlayStation Portable.

Next, you need to open the PSP memory card. Then you need to open the folder named PSP. In the PSP folder, you have to create another folder and name it MP_ROOT. Open this newly created folder and create another folder called 100mnv01. In this folder, this is where you will copy all your MP4 movies. Try getting a larger capacity memory card and you will be able to store and watch one or two movies in your PSP.

As you can see, downloading movies in your PSP is quite a simple thing to do. By following these instructions, you will be able to watch all your favorite movies in your PSP. Now, what could be better watching your favorite movie while you are waiting for your bus? This will surely entertain you while you are on the go.

Always remember that the movie should be in MP4 file format in order for it to work. You can try getting an MP4 conversion software program or you can try downloading your favorite videos or movies in MP4 format.
