Skyrocketing gas prices are causing many people to wonder what are good ways to save gas. There are a lot of techniques and methods out there that will help you save hundreds at the pump and improve your mpg.

Here are a few of my favorites:

1. Fill up your car at night or in the morning - Gas is at it's densest when it's coldest.

2. Don't let the gas overflow - Topping your gas means having excess gas evaporate once you remove the gas nozzle. This means your paying more for something that you can't use.

3. Twist and tap the nozzle before you release - This allows you to get every drop of gas that you paid for while also preventing gas from trickling down and spilling on the side of your vehicle or on the pavement.

4. Make sure your fuel tank's cap is secured in place.

5. Look for cheapest gas available.
