You'll learn the proper moves right from the beginning so you'll have an excellent foundation before venturing into the intermediate and advanced skills.

Illuminating animations are also provided to show you a particular move before actually trying it out. But be warning: don't try to tackle the entire training all at once. Take your time, enjoy yourself, and have fun!

I have a confession to make. It may shock you. It may sway your faith in the credibility of this author. But it must be said:

I went skiing for the very first time this weekend in Whistler.

Yes, it's true. You may be wondering to yourself, how could I author a blog involving ski resorts having never experienced the joy of rippin' the pow?

In spring 2006, when I joined AlluraDirect.com, it was a travesty that I could work at a vacation rental website with over 500 Whistler accommodation options, and never ever having skied. So it was decided this season would be the one where I would shred the slopes for the first time. And that's exactly what happened during our ski day.

If you're like me, you've been looking forward to the day when you can take your kids skiing with you for the very first time.

Skiing is an activity that transcends the idea of "sport" for me. It combines skill, athleticism and harmony with nature; what could be better! I began skiing at the age three and despite breaking my leg at that tender age I never looked back. I have always considered it to be one the things I love to do most in life.

So naturally, you want to share it with your children. And you want to get them started at an early age so that they build confidence as they grow older, and hopefully become as passionate about it as you are.

Well, the picture doesn't necessarily match the reality in my case.
