How To Create A Great Lens
I have created this lens, because I know that creating your first lens can be overwhelming, but with a step by step and a little practice you'll be a pro of the Squidoo lens in no time, and you will know how to create a successful Squidoo Lens!
You can create a lens on Squidoo on just about anything as long as you follow Squidoo terms of service on Spam, adult content, fraud etc...
Once you've chose the theme you want to write about, the KEY to creating a highly visited lens is to be target search NOT highly competitive within the search engines.
This means, try to be as original in your titles, headlines, and key phrases as you can.
Also, go for long tailed phrases rather then common short ones where the competition in search engines will be very high.
For example if you advertise pets facilities: instead of: general terms like "pets"
you might want to try: "hotels that accept pets" or "Best grooming places in the state of..." You get the point.
The Creation Of Your Squidoo Lens
Step by step on how to create your lens
So, Let's start and create your successful Squidoo lens.A lens is created by putting together several "modules". When you create your first lens you will see that some modules are pre-populated for you, and they are in this order: Introduction, RSS Feed, Text/Write Module, Amazon, Flikr, YouTube, Guestbook, Delicious, and Google Blogs.
The ones that you should really keep are: Introduction, Text/Write Module, RSS Feed, and Delicious.
You can delete ALL the other modules, and add as many Text/Write Modules as you want.
The Introduction module is where you want to introduce what your lens will be about.
The Text/Write module is where you can write anything you want. There you can add pictures, links, bold letters, color letters and so on...
The Guestbook module for interaction.
The RSS Feed and the Delicious modules are what will bring you traffic to your lens.
Note: Always change the module title, don't leave it to the default.

Make your lens like a pro!
Five tips to create your successful Squidoo lens.1) Make sure your headlines are relevant to your content and keyword strong.
2) Put calls of action links in each in your modules.
3) Put relevant images to help break up the text.
4) AVOID too long paragraphs without images or put links to break up the text.
(your links anchor text should be keyword relevant) For example: if your lens title is "how to how to grow bananas", You link anchor text should include all these words.
5) Link you lens to others lenses of yours on the same subject as well as blogs and articles on the same lens.

Let your lens be found
Squidoo allows you to use something called "tags" to describe your lens. These will be picked up by the search engines under the keywords that you choose. Your are allowed up to 40 tags, and you sure can use them all.To enter or update your tags go to the "edit mode" on the right hand side of you lens page, and add as many tags as you want.
For example if you write a lens on The Weather you could write tags like: Rain, Rainy day, Clouds, Warm temperature, Science of the sun, Global warming, Poles climates, seasons etc...

You Can Add Content And Picture On Your Bio
Do you see the bio right hand side space? You can add all the content links and picture you want right there.Also, very important, make sure that the TITLE of your lens appears in the bio. In bold characters or as a link to your selling page or website.
To do this, just go to your dashboard, click on Bio and fill in just like you would for a module. Save and publish your lens, and you're done!
Very Important detail!
Many people are not aware of this, but you can add all kind of links/URL in your bio on the right hand side of you lens.
Just click on Edit button of MY BIO and add your URL(s).
Make Money With Your Lens
If you are able to create a successful squidoo lens you will make big money with your Squidoo lenses.All you need to do is be consistent, disciplined, and patient, and it will happen!
Here are some steps you need to take to make it happen.
1) Try to write one new lens per day.
2) At the begining of the week make a list of 7 lenses that you want to create that week, with the exact keywords, and key phrases that you want to target your lenses with.
3) Each day write your lens for that day. It may take as little as 15-20 minutes if you are well prepared.
4) Every time you write a new lens or add on your already existing ones make sure you click on the PUBLISH button at the top or the end of your lens page.

Important Tip!
Once your lens has a "green" check mark in your dashboard meaning it's been approved by Squidoo.
You can go to SquidUtils.com and login with your lens username, then click on "Advanced Lendmaster Dashboard" and "ping" your lens. This will increase you lens traffic.
Creating Lenses are a LOT of FUN!
Creating lenses on Squidoo are a lot of fun, and it's also totally addictive. Don't stress it, just concentrate on what you do best or sell or know... and just write about it.Also, if you are selling a product don't stress just on that either. Business is based on relationships, and you must learn to give in order to receive.
I have lenses that have nothing to do with what I sell, but I have as much if not more fun creating them and they allow me to connect with a wider range of people.

How to find out?
Get Your Squidoo CashMachine NOW!If you want to know if your lens is indexed on Google, just copy the ENTIRE URL and past it on Google search box, and then click the search button.
If you lens comes back on Google page it means that your lens is indexed on Google. If you don't see it indexed try one more time without the htt:// starting only with www.
