How To Start A Business Online

I have been in sales & marketing for over 30 years (yes that makes me ancient) but hey , there's no substitute for experience. The point I wish to make is that on-line marketing is a very steep learning curve indeed.
I have never been involved in a work from home business like online marketing.

Please don't believe the sales pitches that offer to make you a millionaire, on automatic pilot, by lunchtime tomorrow. You know the kind of thing, " work from home 10 minutes a day and earn $5000,000 a month" You will see this kind of advertising all over the internet. Take this one piece of advice, even if you ignore everything else. Don't buy any of it!

An on line internet business can be very exciting. It can be a work from home business, which is ideal for stay at home Mums (and Dads!) but believe me , if you wish to succeed, there is a lot to learn and you will spend many hours in front of your computer.

To start an Internet Business requires self discipline and strong motivation. There are no short cuts. You will become frustrated and want to throw your computer out of the window some days ( I've come very close sometimes). However with the right attitude a home based internet business can be very rewarding.

Take the time to do some research. What would you like to market? The affiliate programs look attractive and easy money. But only for the super affiliates with mailing lists of thousands. Trying to start your own internet business from scratch requires hard work.

You will need to build your own list by building squeeze pages ( a squeeze page is simply a single web page with an opt in box offering a free report ) this is how you build your list, by sending your traffic there first.
