What Is Fatigue?
Generally speaking there are 3 main types of fatigue:
Physical: This is what we feel after exercise or strenuous activity, with obvious symptoms being aching muscles and limbs, and sleepiness.
Pathological: This is the result caused by an underlying sickness or disease. Pathological Fatigue is the bodys natural defence against further injury.
Psychological: Most commonly caused by the stress of day to day activities, psychological fatigue takes its toll on ones emotions and is probably the most common type. This type of fatigue builds up as the stress grows and in turn disappears as ones troubles are resolved.
Emotional Fatigue stems from many of lifes obstacles such as loss of job or stress at work, home sickness, frustration, boredom, anxiety and so on....

Who Suffers From Fatigue?

It is more common for women with families to complain of Pshycological Fatigue and women that are single tend to Complain of the Physical type. It appears obvious that women are the more likely victims but it is still unclear why. Some theories suggest that women see doctors more often and are more likely to discuss their symptoms, more modern day women are raising children on their own, women have a higher rate of suffering from depression, women work full time jobs while looking after children, husbands, meals and housework.
