Coping on Valentine's Day

The question is do you want to? Would you rather wallow away the day, covered beneath the heaping pile of blankets.
And make sure your cell phone is turned off? I mean, for crying out loud, someone may want to do something with you. So by all means, "Just Say No To Valentine's Day!"
You can go and cry like a big old baby all you want. Trust me, it won't solve a darn thing. And to be perfectly honest. I know because I have done this.
Or, you can have some fun. How you ask? Let me share some ideas with you right now. As I said earlier, I just want you to feel better. Have a laugh or two. I know this can be a very stressful day. But remember, it doesn't have to be. I want you to take a look at the many things I have provided here. Watch the video's. Start smiling! And, if you have to. Remind yourself that February 14th, is just another day. This too shall pass.

This truly can be an "Unforgettable," Valentine's Day. If you want it to be. Your first choice is to start planning. Planning what you ask? Making it much better than you ever dreamed it could be. You are very special, and extremely capable of enjoying a day on your own. Or with a group of friends.

2Getting drunk and crying to old love songs. Although I provide a site that offers a premium line of wines. That's not the option here. Remember if you pick this choice, you will pay for it. My guess would be with a tremendous hangover? Is that what you want?

3And last, but certainly not least. Under no circumstances do you try to get in touch with your "Ex." Do yourself a favor, their not worth it. No matter how tempted you might be. Do not allow yourself to even give thought to this person. There is a reason why they are your "Ex." So when you're thinking about calling them, don't.

Still not sure you have the right mind set on this. What I have found to bring joy during what could be a depressing time. Would be to share with others. I know what you're thinking, "who cares!" Just bear with me. Allow me to share 5 ideas for a happy Valentine's Day. I truly believe this may be one of your best days this year.

1You know how you're feeling. What about a dear friend who may be going through a very difficult time? Why not prepare a basket of their favorite things. Leave it, with a card that says, from your guardian angel.

2Or, maybe someone has always been there for you. Or someone who you admire. Let them know what they mean to you. This is the day for showing how we feel about the ones we love. Take the time to find them that perfect card. If you want, get creative. Make it!

3What about your grandchild? A niece, or nephew. Plan a special date with them. Take them to their favorite restaurant. Or a movie. The possibilities are endless. They will love it!

4Play Cupid! Hear me out. You are not alone in this. I'm sure there is someone you know who doen't have a significant other as well. So Cupid, it's up to you. Send them a bouquet of flowers, or candy. Sign the card anonymous. I'm sure it will brighten their day.

5Visit a relative you haven't seen in a while. Take along a goodie or two. Something you know they will like. Spend time reminiscing. Sharing a bit of laughter if only for a little while. A few hours with a dear loved one, can make a tremendous difference. I promise!

These five ideas do not have to be extravagant. Sometimes the smallest things, can bring the biggest smiles. When we give, we in turn feel better. You see, everyone wins. You will find deep enjoyment in knowing YOU made someone's Valentine's Day special.
