How to Win Pageant

Obviously, in a beauty pageant, it's very important to be looking your most glamorous. This is what the judges will score you on, partly, and if you look a scruff, you're not going to be their beauty pageant queen! Here are a few top tips you'll want to know if you want to know how to win pageant contests.

Get your body in shape by eating well and exercising: The better your figure is, the better your clothes will look on you, and you will look a lot more beautiful. However, don't just eat and exercise well for your appearance, as this will also help your mental state, and you will feel a lot healthier, and more alert. This will shine through, adding a glow to your look! Sleep is very important as well. Get into a proper sleeping routine and avoid late nights, as you want to be as fully focussed and switched on as possible for the contest.
Choose your attire carefully: Make sure you get all your outfits in plenty of time. You don't want to be rushing around a few days before the pageant, ending up with an outfit that you aren't truely happy with. Wear something that reflects you as a person, and that you feel comfortable in.

Remove any excess body hair by waxing: A few days before the pageant, make sure you wax off all the excess body hair, to avoid it growing back in time. You want to be looking your most lady-like for the pageant, and don't forget to smile!

Once you have your appearance sorted for the beauty pageant, you need to work on your pageant interview techniques. This is where the contest is won and lost, so it is essential to be very prepared for this section. I can think of so many reasons why so many contestants fail at this round so miserably. The problem is, there is so much anxiety built around this section! I mean, what could be more terrifying than standing in front of a large audience, with your friends and family in the crowd, the judges are looking at your every move, and they ask you a question you haven't heard before!

If you don't revise for this round, you'll be a stuttering, nervous wreck throughout this round. If you want to know how to win pageant contests, you need to revise this section. Lots! This is the key to getting through this round, whilst blowing away the competition with your quick and thoughtful responses.

Confidence is everything here. The more you practise, the better equipped you will be to answer questions, without looking nervous and anxious. Practise by performing a few questions and answers in front of friends, to get a feel of how to elevate your speech tone and speak in front of a crowd.

Think about what your answer is going to be, by pausing for a few seconds. Don't be scared to take your time, this shows the judges you are really thinking about what you're going to say.
