HP Pavilion G6-1D60US Review

The 15.6-inch diagonal HD BrightView LED-backlit display features a standard 1,366 x 768 pixel resolution and is LED backlit. Image quality was good head-on, but quickly deteriorates when you move off-axis. The laptop's audio, despite SRS Premium Sound and Altec Lansing speakers, was thin but loud, and about what we'd expect from a $500 laptop.

This HP Pavilion G6-1D60US includes a media reader that allows transfer photos from a digital camera to your laptop PC without using cables. I bought this HP Pavilion G6-1D60US about a month ago for about $500 through my favorit online store. It's performed up to my very high standards. Since most of the reviews were positive, I felt I couldn't go wrong. I really love this laptop! Aware of the negative comments, I made it a point to look for those issues. Happily, I have found the fan to be extremely quiet and have had no wi-fi issues.

The one problem I did find were the flickering lines at the top of my screen on certain backgrounds. I called HP immediately and was extremely pleased with their technical support. After connecting with my computer, she checked for any hardware or software issues and decided that the AMD graphics needed to be updated. Once she did that, the issue was resolved.

HP Pavilion G6-1D60US has a modest price tag to for a laptop of this class. At the moment, it is retailing for just around $500 per unit. I felt it was worthy of 5 stars. I am very happy with my purchase!
