Bailey, is three years old now. We have had him since he was old enough to leave his mommy.

He's loving, very energetic, and can also be very protective. His nickname is Bailey Boy.

We bought him for my son Chaz as an 8th grade graduation present.

They say that when you buy a Heeler, they may choose someone else in the family other then the intended new owner to bond with.

That wasn't the case with us. Bailey loves his master Chaz.

We aren't quite sure why, but he loves feet. Trust me, my son's feet aren't the sweetest smelling by any means. I have to include this picture,



Was the aroma too much?

Before we had gotten Bailey. We left the choice of breed up to Chaz.

There wasn't really anything that drew him to the Heelers. He just said he loved the way they looked.

His friends think he looks like a wolf, or a Hyena. We love him.

About Heelers, This type of dog wouldn't do well in an apartment.

They are loyal, and would make an excellent guard dog. Perhaps not a dog to consider with children, unless it's been with a family since it was a puppy.

Back to the feet thing, they may nip at people's heels in order to herd them.

They bore easily, so as with any pet, activity and attention, is a must. This type of dog wouldn't do well in an apartment.

They live between 11 to 15 years.
