Never Heard of a Liver Cleanse? Here's What It Is All About.
Dr. Hulda Clark is a controversial naturopathic physician who advocates the use of a liver flush (cleanse). The purpose of the Hulda Clark Liver Cleanse is to rid the bile ducts of parasites and gall stones. Her followers often perform several liver flushes and many of them post pictures of calcium deposits and parasites that have been evacuated.

Liver Flushes: Background Information and Benefits
Dr. Hulda Clark Liver Flushes are said to improve digestion, clear allergies, eliminate pains in the upper back and shoulder area, and are said to increase energy. It is also claimed that you may need only consume half the amount of food that you used to eat before the flush.
According to Clark, the liver makes over a quart of bile each day. It is full of small biliary tubes that deliver bile to one large tube (the common bile duct). The gallbladder is attached to the common bile duct and acts as a reservoir for bile. Fat and protein consumption cause the gallbladder to squeeze itself empty about 20 minutes after consumption. The bile is then squeezed into the intestine, ending its journey.
Clark says that many people's liver tubes are choked with gallstones which are small, and not always calcified, therefore not always viewable on an X-Ray. These gallstones can be black, red, white, green, or tan. She says that, at the center of each gallstone, is a clump of bacteria, suggesting a dead bit of parasite may have started the stone.
She claims that the pressure from the gallstones can cause the liver to make less bile, and less cholesterol is able to leave the body. She also says that the porous gallstones can pick up bacteria, cysts viruses, and parasites.

Seven Liver Flush Tips
1. Dr. Clark says that the parasite program and kidney cleanse should be performed before the the liver flush.
2. Ozonate the olive oil to kill any parasites or viruses that may be released during the cleanse.
3. Use a flashlight to examine the toilet for gallstones. They float because of the cholesterol inside.
4. You will need 2000 stones before the liver is clean enough to rid allergies or bursitis or upper back pains permanently.
5. You may repeat cleanses at two week intervals.
6. If the colon is obstructed with debris, the toxic debris released from the liver during the cleanse cannot be evacuated due to the obstructions in the colon. Therefore it is important to first sweep the colon before commencing the cleanse.
7. For maintenance it is advisable to perform a flush every 6 months.

Alternate Opinions
It may be possible that what people are excreting are not parasites at all, but citrus fibers from the grapefruit juice used in the recipe, or ordinary fecal matter. The "stones" that are excreted may actually be bile-stained soaps. The flushes are unlikely to cause harm to healthy individuals, but they should not be performed in lieu of medical treatment.
