Introduction to Human Growth Hormone

Human Growth Hormone, or hGH for short, is a naturall occuring hormone in of the human body. The hormone plays keys roles in many parts of our body, but one of it's key roles, as you might have observed from the name, is growth within the human body.

Now this lens isn't primarily focused on it's natural role in the body, this lens is more concerned with the supplemental use of this hormone, when purposefully introduced into the body, to boost natural levels.

During this lens, we'll be taking a look at why people might want to introduce extra hGH into the body, it's side effects, and also possibly other more effective ways of bringing about the same benefits, without all the side effects of hGH.

Why increase your hGH?

So why would you want to boost your Human Growth Hormone? And why go to the trouble?

Human Growth Hormone is highly attractive on the surface, it solves many problems for many people. Infact if you were to just look at the list of benefits, you'd probably think it was crazy not to supplement it with a little bit extra every month.

Let's look at what some folk have to say;

"Human growth Hormone can help you grow taller"

"It (Human growth Hormone) increases muscle mass, and makes you stronger & more athletic"

"It increases energy and allows me to work out longer and harder than I would normally be able"

"It helps aging, and can be used as an anti aging device"

"Human growth Hormone gives you more energy so you can recover quickly from exhausting activities & get started again right away. E.g Weight training"

Definitely some compelling reasons to check out human growth hormone, everyone from the old to the young, to the short and tall have a reason they might want to add a little extra to their diet.

But is it that simple?

Side effects of Human Growth Hormone

If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

That's not to say hGH doesn't provide those benefits, i'm pretty certain in most cases, it probably does. Infact you'd be pretty hard pressed to find evidence to contradict those facts. However, it doesn't come without it's drawbacks.

Human growth hormone occurs naturally in the body, as stated above, however, hormones are regulated to defined levels within our bodies for a reason. Sometimes, our body makes a mistake, and doesn't produce enough for various reasons, varying depending on the hormone & the situation, however generally it's done it's job correctly and increasing doses of various hormones can have some unwanted side effects.

One of the biggest side effects of hGH, is it's unnatural growth of the bones and organs. It accelerates growth in the bones, however because growth in main height producing bones is capped once we leave puberty, it only affects certain bones, such as the hands and feet, which can leave you looking incredibly dispropotionate.

It also accelerates growth in the face bones, such as the jaw and along the eyebrow ridge, which causes a protruding jaw as well as moutainous eyebrows.

Aside from just bone growth, hGH accelerates the growth of all internal organs. This can be incredibily dangerous for organs such as the heart, and lead to conditions such as cardiomyopathy.

Here's a quote from the BBC website concerning the various side effects;

Excess HGH in the body can cause acromegaly, a disease where the hands become spade-like in appearance as they get bigger. Growth of the facial bones causes the face to change shape too.

The jaw becomes larger, with spaces appearing between the teeth because of this, and the eyebrows become more prominent. The tongue enlarges and the skin becomes coarse and oily.

Organs like the heart, liver and kidneys will also undergo excessive growth, leading to potentially life-threatening problems - one of which is cardiomyopathy, a disease of the heart muscle.

The heart loses its ability to pump blood and, in some instances, heart rhythm is disturbed, leading to irregular heartbeats

There is also an increased risk of cancers due to the abnormal growth of cells.

More Natural Ways to Acheive the Same Benefits?

There are however some solutions which can alleviate the same problems, whilst also remaining natural and healthy towards your body. They're not as quick acting, but in the long run produce much much better results.

Not to mention, won't run you into $1000+ a month.

The main solution involves testosterone, another one of your hormones. Testosterone however, doesn't need to be over supplemented in the hGH does.

As men age, their levels of testosterone tend to decline, which up until recently was thought to be a natural part of the aging process. This however, has been proven not to be the case.

Increasing testosterone is therefore a viable strategy for most men above 20. Increasing your testosterone includes many of the same benefits as hGH, but without essentially any of the side effects.

  • It increases energy

  • Promotes muscle growth

  • Improves sleep

  • Stops your body storing unnecessary fats

  • Increases Libido

  • Increases alertness and motivation

You do have to be careful to increase it the right way however. You can check out this article here, for more information on the right way to increase it,
