Humminbird fish finder 565 I had my doubts that this product would fit my needs. I previously had a "Fishing Buddy" by the same company and had nothing but problems with it, but I had lots of friends who said Humminbird is the company to go with. So, I was hoping the step up in quality (and certainly price) would make the difference. It did. I used this on my yearly trip to northern BC for fly fishing in lakes. I use both a canoe (and old aluminum canoe with a fairly rough exterior finish) and a rubber raft for hike in lakes. My main concern was whether the transducer would attach to both vessels effectively. And it did. The design makes it easy to carry and set up. The readings are accurate and easy to read and interpret. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Humminbird 788ci Color Fishfinder Combo with Internal GPS I have been using the 788ci for a few months now and have nothing but good things to say about it. It is simple to use and the preset buttons allow you to quickly see the screens you use the most. The quick release mounting system makes it easy to remove the head of the unit when you have to leave the boat unattended.

I would not recommend buying this unit with the pre-loaded Navionics maps. They are the 2006 version and do not include a lot of the newer lakes. I use the Navionics '09 Premium maps card and could not be happier.

If you buy it, take the time to learn how to use as many of the features as you can. Go out in the boat with the owner's manual and just play with it and you will be amazed at what a great tool this is.

One more very important feature is that the unit has two SD card slots. I use one slot for my Navionics chip and save all of the rest of my information on the other chip.

Humminbird fishing buddy I don't have the cash or space to store a boat, but there are plenty of rentals around here. When I saw the "Fishin' Buddy" I was really happy. This was exactly what I was looking for.

I was afraid that such an inexpensive product would underperform. I was not disappointed! The screen shows great detail, (on the 110) and when fish were marked, many times I got a bite!

I was afraid of going cheap on the 110. I love it! After using it twice this year so far, I couldn't imagine fishing without it!
