Ruby-throated hummingbirds fly non-stop over 500 miles when they cross the Gulf of Mexico during migration.

Hummers can fly both forward and backward.

Which State Has the Most Hummingbirds?

Arizona! It boasts 14 regularly occurring species. Southeast Arizona in the summertime is the hotspot of the nation.

TX and NM are also rich in hummers.
