Portland Artist Links

Ryan Bubnis
Ryan Bubnis' clean yet chaotic style has been described as "urban folk." Through his paintings, he comments on themes relating to the human condition. Vibrant, abstracted shapes and faces radiate joy and optimism while they float in and out of rich, multi-layered realms.
Betsy Walton
A native Kansan who now calls Portland, Oregon home. She left a full time job in October, 2006 to become a painter and illustrator. Since then, she has been painting day and night, answering emails, shipping packages, and meeting fascinating new people at every turn.
Scrappers
Portland artist who believes in beginner's luck.
Steve Mathews
Lives in Portland, Oregon, likes the ocean, bean burritos and you.
Timothy Karpinski
Art for him is very personal and everything he makes is a direct reflection on his feelings about this world and his struggle and fascination with trying to understand it and finding his purpose within it.
Tripper Dungan
Tripper believes that imagination and daydreaming are important for one's balanced mental health.
Chelsea Fletcher
She used to climb electric fences to pet goats.
APAK
Aaron Piland and Ayumi Kajikawa Piland are the fantastical magical duo known as APAK. They are a childlike husband and wife collaborative art group who live among the fury conifer giants in a little cottage on the outskirts of Portland, Oregon. They create artwork together as a way exploring the beauty, mystery, and magic of life as well as expressing their love for life and each other.

They are known in particular for creating rich and colorful gouache/acrylic paintings on wood featuring the utopian lives and adventures of curious little beings living in lush fantastic environments surrounded by friendly little animals, the landscapes are familiar yet surreal, hinting at a fantastic narrative while suggesting truths about the real world at the same time.
Ryan Berkley
Ryan Berkley is a comic inspired gentleman surrounded by toys and Chewbacca masks. I like drawing sharks and animals and creatures and mustaches and superheroes. Sometimes I combine all of them - sometimes they are on their own - it really depends on my mood.
Neil M. Perry
Neil M. Perry is a freelance artist, illustrator and screen printer with creative roots in Edinburgh, Scotland. His body of work is developing into a series of grotesquely comic images inspired by wildlife and nature fused with elements of his own imagined, mental landscape. The result is a plethora of colorful pieces with dark content, depictions of monsters and creatures that represent the artists own experiences from childhood to present day.
