More About How Hypnosis Can Help & My Experiences Helping Others & Myself
I began practicing self-hypnosis and hypnosis, as a child -- it came naturally and helped me shift reality for the better. Over the years, hypnotizing has blended with and boosted my (and others') "wholist" self-changing, around going green, personal development and healthier living.
Despite Squidoo's categorizing, my way of doing hypnosis isn't "alternative medicine" (or even "complementary and alternative medicine" or "CAM" versus medically diagnosed diseases or conditions), so much as a natural consciousness state and (often playful) process for enhancing wellness while tweaking or transforming (anywhere, any day) troubled life patterns that arise along any path within the wide range of non-pathological -- yet bothersome or self-sabotaging -- human behaviors.
Hypnosis is a newer word, coined in the 19th century, for an ages-old natural state of consciousness, or purposeful process of imagining, that comes naturally to many children. Hypnosis can be tweaked into individualized transformation techniques for adults, who can try the methods with childlike, enthusiastic expectation.
Hypnosis is a humongous self-help tool-box I have had fun using to help myself and others over the years, often informally and innovatively, even spontaneously.
I have practiced as a National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) certified Consulting Hypnotist since 1998.
This lens focuses on my experiences using hypnosis and self-hypnosis to enhance wellness and deal with everyday challenges such as replacing troublesome habits with healthy behaviors and facing normal, yet self-limiting, fears freely. I've seen and experienced plenty of beneficial self-changes through hypnosis.
I practice and teach hypnosis as self-help for self-change, completely aside from medical or psychiatric diagnoses and treatments.
