Just Imagine How Hypnosis Can Help You!
For me, interest in Hypnosis and how it worked started with a litte book my dad had in his library. He never spoke about it, but it seemed to me that he liked to use hypnosis regularly. As a little boy, whats good enough for dad is good enough for me!

Hypnosis is a skill one learns, and anyone can learn and use hypnosis for themselves. Self-Hypnosis is EASY to learn and very beneficial for removing habits like smoking, or phobias, or even pick up a new beneficial behavior.
Due to a mechanism in your mind, called the "Observer Self", it is impossible for you to hurt yourself or someone else with Hypnosis. The "Observer Self" prevents you from doing something you would not normally do, nor will it let you do something that would hurt yourself, or endanger yourself. The Truth About Hypnosis
Science has proven the benefits and effectiveness of Hypnosis. When used as a part of Self Help, Hypnosis can help create desirable changes in behavior and enhance both physical and mental health. The study and use of Hypnosis as a means of Self Improvement will enable you to lose weight, free yourself of physical discomfort, quit addictive habits such as smoking and attain a sense of fulfillment. For those seeking to help themselves, Self Hypnosis can be a beneficial and empowering alternative to drugs. One should always seek the opinion of a qualified health practitioner before engaging in the use of Hypnosis, and only legally licensed individuals should administer Hypnosis treatment to others. However, as a Self Help method it is free and easily available to those willing to do the research. Being in a hypnotic state or Trance is the first part of the process of using Hypnosis. When using Hypnosis on yourself you will induct yourself into a hypnotic trance through a process of relaxation and deep concentration. There is also the use of Waking Trances. This is where we use Hypnosis to induct us into a trance where we are awake, or rather with our eyes open instead of the standard Hypnotic Induction, where your eyes are normally closed. Have you ever gotten home from a long day at work, and wonder how you got there? Ever been on "AutoPilot" and arrived at work when you meant to go somewhere else? This is a waking trance, the science and medical communities, have found that we actually drop ourselves into hypnotic states on a regular basis. The process of Self Hypnosis utilizes these natural states of mind to remove undesirable habits and replace them with benificial behavioral patterns.
The Truth about Hypnosis
Some however are worried and even propagate the fear that hypnosis can be used for unsavory purposes. A phenomenon known as "the Observer Self" has been documented as a credible aspect of the mind that actually will oversee a subject under a guided hypnotic session. This aspect of the mind ensures the safety of the subject, as an example if you were to experience life threatening circumstances while under the influence of hypnosis your observer self would either prevent you from a dangerous action or bring you back from the hypnotic trance in order to protect you. Ever arrive home after a busy day, stuck in ridiculous commuter traffic, and just seem to wake up wondering how you were home. This is common and evidence some say to the Observer Self in action as well as the fact that Hypnotic trances happen without induction on a regular basis to regular people like you. The difference of using Self Hypnosis as a means of self help is that you learn how to deliberately self induce a hypnotic trance and execute hypnotic suggestions in order to improve your daily life.
Generally speaking, due to the facts of Hypnosis above, you can not make someone do something that would hurt them, or that they would not normally do given the right circumstances.
