How can hypnotherapy help my child?
How can I know if hypnotherapy is right for my child, and how can it help?
What is hypnotherapy? Hypnotherapy is the process of using hypnosis to treat a symptom, disease or even addiction. Hypnotherapy for children has been proven to cure things such as bedwetting, thumb sucking, eating problems, low self esteem, nightmares or sleep problems, fears of animals such as cats or dogs, pressure of exams and tests, and much more.
One hypnotherapy technique that is specially used is called the "blowaway" technique in which children are inducted into a hypnotic state and instructed to "blow away" their negative emotions or feelings.
There are many other hypnotherapy techniques that are quite effective in children as well. At the University of Michigan, they are using hypnotherapy by teaching children how to self-hypnotize in order to control bad habits, physical symptoms, and other conditions. The child learns to use relaxation techniques and mental images-similar to a daydream or fantasy. Their website is a great resource for hypnotherapy in children.
If you are wondering if hypnotherapy will really work out for your child, you should check out a great success story about a boy named Frank. He recovered after only one session with a hypnotherapist. Hypnotherapy has been such a help for many children.
So if you are looking for treatment for your child, rather than depending on expensive medications that may have unwanted side effects, consider hypnotherapy. There are many programs and centers around the world that can have certified hypnotherapists to help you. One that I have found to be especially effective is the Brigham Hypnosis Clinic .

- Your lens is great. Children tend to be more suggestible than adults and studies have shown hypnosis to help with headaches, stomach aches, ADHD, and asthma in children. Thanks for promoting the use of hypnosis with children, so many can benefit from it.
