If you're already taking a prescribed med for thyroid problems, it's best to check with your doctor before you add anything that might affect your thyroid. Sometimes natural medicines will contain an ingredient that counteracts a prescribed ingredient.
I didn't include on this page the ingredients of the natural products for thyroids, but they're easy to obtain by just clicking on the product. I'd reccommend writing the ingredients down, and calling your doctor to see if there would be any undesired interactions.
Some doctors really do not like their patients to help themselves with natural medicines. Other doctors are much more lenient, or even encourage and reccommend their patients try a natural medicine.
If your doctor is totally against it, you may try to get a second opinion from a more forward practicing doctor. Shouldn't be too hard to do, just google for doctors in your area.
