I've had too many mini -strokes,past and present! Most recently, 30mins ago for twenty mins!

I have had three TIA's that the doctor called a silent migraine. He said to take a low dose aspirin every day. And thank God it works!! I have been free of the TIA's now for over 15 years.

My brother had a major stroke in 2008 & my sister has just had a mini stroke.

i am only 41 and go swimming 3 times a week and i am at slimming world and have lost over 2 stone. I do not smoke or drink (unless special occasions), and have normal blood pressure. This was a total shock and I am still trying to come to terms with it. Luckily my older sister is a nurse on a stroke ward and has been helping my husband and I. It just goes to show it can happen to anybody they put my mini stroke down to stress through work and everyday life, so my advice to everybody is that work will always be there don't put yourself through things that can wait, I want to see my daughter grow up (9) and be around for a lot longer yet!!! Best wishes to everyone out there who has had or knows somebody who has suffered in this way either a T.I.A. or stroke.
