Funny how we are sick for not liking dogs... Have the people who call us that bothered to read our reasons?

I went to get breakfast today, but ended up skipping it because one of the dogs puked right in the middle of the kitchen .

Omg!! I cant believe there is a site for people who dont like dogs!! well my kids have a dog, my bf got her for them. she is a rottweiler, 2 yrs old.I used to like dogs until we got her. she changed my mind. See my ex used to breed them but they stayed outside in kennels and I didnt have to do much other than feed them for him when he was at work. but they stayed outside. with my new family this dog stayed in the house for 2 yrs. and f--ked up my house. now I am a very clean and orderly person when it comes to my house, but it got out of control with the shedding. So we have moved recently ans i made it a rule that she stay out on the patio most of the time. and if she is in the house she is kept off the carpet and in one area of the apartmnt, tied up. so far my house is still clean. but I have to admit that I prefer her to be gone, no more dog! my kids love her and my bf tolerates her, he never really liked dogs to begin with. but its for the kids.you all are right dogs stink, they shed alot and they are just plain gross.

I feel certain breeds should be banned but most dogs are good. At the moment I hate my neighbours dog as it chases me on the motorbike when I go to work. It is only young and I feel as it gets older it is going to attack someone, blue heeler crossed with alsatian, two of the worst.

If you stop and think, there like taking care of an invalid 24/7 in a rest home. They can't clean up after themselves, you have to bathe them, feed them because they can't feed themselves. You have to repair everything they break in your home. Take them to the doctor, watch every move they make so they don't destroy your property. You have no life! And god help you if they bite someone,LAWSUIT!!!

Its actually good all you people hate dogs, in fact the largest percentage of hate comes from the fact you fear them and this is a good thing.

To know you fear the animal that is walking beside me or living at my place of residence, a animal which ironically is loyal to me and regards you as a stranger makes the dog a very powerful and useful companion.
Wouldnt be much use to mankind if everyone thought they were lovely angelic creatures, trying watching My little Pony for that.

A toy dog is of course enjoyed for their companionship mostly but even they are a deterrent and vigilant sentry.

In terms of companionship, scientifically dogs are one of the most compatible animals in regards to the dynamic between them and us for thousands of years they have enjoyed working and living alongside us
  • tanyaw May 28, 2012 @ 12:44 pm | delete
you may be right in some aspects but i personally dont fear dogs. the dogs I had with my ex where trained attack dogs and I had a respect for them. But i controlled them not they me.like I said I dont like them anymore because of this dog. I never kept dogs in the house because they are filfthy!! loyal they may be but filfthy and smelly they are!!

Good debate. Dogs do need to owned responsibly for all concerned and dog lovers shouldn't presume that every one else should love dogs too. Except for Black Labs which everyone should love by law because they are way smarter than Golden Retrievers!

I am soooo glad I am not the only dog hater!! I hate the look I get when I say something about NOT liking dogs.. It's like they think I have something wrong with me.. I used to love dogs and had amazing patience for them... now that I have a home, kids and a husband..a stupid dog is just TOO much work.. They smell bad, have horrible gas, the beg and drool and shed! My husband tells me "but no matter how much you ignore them, they are always there for you.. It's unconditional love." ... It still doesn't matter to me! I don't like dogs!! There is nothing appealing about having one anymore... Maybe the ONLY reason is that it makes me feel safe when no one else is home and I have a huge rottweiler wandering around but other than that.. I have no love for our dog.. I was hoping the animal would have grown on me... but after two years... no love. only dislike after seeing all the ruined screen doors and scratched wood around the windows... I hate they it barks at the stupidest stuff... actually, I hate that it barks at all.
Severe dog lovers annoy the hell out of me.. The ones that treat dogs like humans and expect you to treat them like that as well.. I HATE when dogs beg and jump up on me and their owners say NOTHING!! It's sooooo gross! Yes, I can safely say I am a hater of dogs!! and it's good to know that I am not the ONLY one!! Thank you for starting the thread! I thought something may have been wrong with me! I would much prefer a cat!! so much more independent and way less filthy!

Dog lovers are like Jesus freaks except their unbridled devotion is to a shedding, shitting, biting, smelly four legged noisemaker. Dogs can do no wrong in their eyes; even when they keep the whole neighborhood awake or rip a little kids face off.
  • Hey You Nov 12, 2011 @ 12:33 am | delete
I don't hate dogs in the slightest. I'm just overwhelmed by them because I don't know what to do around them. And dogs seem like the one pet where people expect you to speak to them in that baby tone of voice, telling them how great they are. I feel weird doing that...

People can agree with this next part on pretty much any animal. What bothers me the most is people who get on their high horse (high Wolfhound?) about dogs. They act like dogs are these almighty deities....dogs are amazing, they have loved and served man forever, but it's a little over the top when you treat them like kings while treating other animals like vermin....it's even worse when you insist on dressing dogs up in ridiculous costumes. It brings a whole new meaning to the term animal cruelty. :p

So, I don't hate dogs. I just hate the people who insist I put on my shades to shield my eyes from the pristine perfection of dogs whenever one comes by.

I agree, dogs are awful pets. No other animal comes with the plethora of behavioral problems dogs do. You never hear anyone say 'there are no bad cats/hamsters/rabbits, just bad owners', only dogs. Dogs are unpredictable, aggressive, ugly, noisy, filthy. My partner had a dog and a cat when we met. Cat: no problem. Make sure the fountain has water, food in the bowl, good to go. The dog begs or trolls the house for food constantly, must wake up early, even on weekends and vacation to feed it, walk it daily (no matter what the weather is or if you're sick), can't go anywhere without dealing with the dog (take it with us, board it, hire someone to come over), it wants attention constantly, wakes me up at night clawing the carpeting or pulling the blanket off the bed, sheds horridly, needs its nails trimmed and files, constant brushing, stinks, eats catshit every chance it gets and then has horrible gas, shits like a horse, costs us $100 just for food. It's just a constant chore having a dog. Then there's always the neighbors dogs who try and attack this dog or just bark ALL night long. Dogs ruin everything.

I'm a cat lover myself but all creatures are magical to me and so it is a pity that you can't enjoy one of them yourself. This fear is fixed relatively easily in therapy using hypnosis or EFT in combination and you may want to consider that as a positive response to a negative state at the moment, it will free you from an unhappy response. Best wishes, David
  • always_angry Apr 29, 2012 @ 1:46 am | delete
I think it is healthy to have an "unhappy response" to having to smell poop... Not all people who feel negatively about dogs do so because of fear.

I do love smaller dogs. I also think the law should be very strict with the laws concerning animals. People should not have to walk, jog, play in fear of animals on the loose. It should be a stiff fine without question. I just recently lost my maltese (9 yrs old) to cancer, but the dog I had before that was a poodle who was eaten by the neighbors pit bull. That dog ate through my poodles intestines in a matter of seconds. It was horrible. We have had many, many people get attacked in our nearby towns because owners are NOT responsible pet owners. That is not okay with me, but I still love little dogs.
  • wall Jul 13, 2011 @ 11:18 am | delete
I love to walk alone and on my hikes I always have trouble with loose dogs. On the outskirts of towns, when you pass farms, or just owners who let their dogs run free in the woods. It's just dangerous. I always carried a stick and my idea was to kick a dog when he attacked me. Be coincidence however I found a far better weapon. I was walking on wet ground and I took a wooden stick from the forest and sharpened a point on it with my pocketknife. Later that day I was attacked by a big black dog. But I used the stick as a spear and held it before me. The dog could not pass the point, he jumped around, tried to get behind me, but all in vain. He couldn't jump at me either without killing himself. Then I punched him a few times, and that really hurt him, and he ran off. So: the "spear" is a superior weapon against dogs ! Make one from your walking stick.

for all those years of dogs growling at me, lunging at me chasing me for no reason...dogs are the worse pets ever and i would save an ant before i saved a dog.

dogs want so much attention its always about them them them once you give them that love and attention they are still vulnerable at biting your face off.

    ban pitbulls forever.

Scientists tell us that dogs and cats have evolved over the millenia as they were domesticated and lived with humans. They're no longer like wolves and catamounts. Isn't it obvious, however, that cats evolved as the pet that killed mice and vermin IN the house, while dogs evolved protecting livestock and the OUTSIDE of the house? Dogs are outdoor animals and they're not meant to live indoors.

I do hate dogs absolutely .....
My hatred didn't really start till I was in a marriage which my ex had them coming into the relationship, Always wondered what the pungent smell was around the furniture. Really took notice our first move to a different place and picking the furniture up. Dark carpet so i didnt know the dogs were pissing everywhere on everything. Male dog leaving his filthy scent. I just learned to shut my mouth / bit my tongue on the years thereafter, cleaning numerous times a month pissy carpet..dog crap all over carpet..all over house, dragging ass on carpet, dogs at the table at dinner, eating out of dishes, washing dogs ass in the kitchen sink, dogs on beds, you name it and totally destroy beautiful homes. I would do all the cooking /dish washing just to keep her out the kitchen to clean things to my standards.Bleach everything. All nasty disgusting stuff. Heaven forbid if I voiced my opinion on the matter. Well now that ALL of that is over. I would NEVER date another woman that owns a nasty ass dog(s). Seems most of the owners I have met or been in homes are the same.Just absolutely nasty.Stains on carpet I don't even what to know about. I would not eat anything from them. I will pass on the food at the office parties..ugggh..probably have had the dog crawling all over them...same doggy clothes or unwashed hands and cooking food. Anyway..no dogs, they're not cute..they stink, they're not babies, I run when someone tells me its their family member or their baby..RUN..but seriously ..its really just the owners as others have stated that are the real problems..I was told I just hate all animals...not true....I don't ..they are delicious, and unless were are talking about how to season them...I don't give a sh*t about them really.

  • RuneGard Jun 5, 2010 @ 2:27 pm | delete
Excellent lens!!I was a dog owner and had so many problems with other peoples hounds I had to isolate my own dog (and myself) against attacks from dogs unleashed and roaming around like rogue wildlife. I find many pet owners completely selfish, irresponsible and stupid! How is it leash laws don't apply to their pet? The selfish disregard many people have for the rest of society burdens us with fear and attack. Also, true wildlife just doesn't stand a chance. Besides being hit by speeding cars, farmed and hunted, they have to deal with peoples pets. I've personally witnessed unleashed dogs racing and charging after deer, moose and other poor defenseless wildlife while their owners laugh as though they are being entertained in some sick manner. Domesticated dogs and cats are yet another example of how mankind has just screwed with screwed up and in general distorted a once natural animal in a vain attempt to control another species. I feel many of the more dangerous breeds should be outlawed altogether. Britain outlawed the ownership of pitbulls many years ago.
  • LKW31 Jun 5, 2010 @ 3:14 pm | delete
Yes and yes! This is exactly what I think! I live in the UK and although we have outlawed certain breeds of dogs, this doesn't stop them being bred and sold illegally. They are used as weapons often in street fighting and gangs. Stories of toddlers being mauled by dogs are often in the news.

I live in a country that give you the freedom of choice. You have every right to hate dogs. You listed so many reasons to. There are reasons to love a dog as well. I mean that is why there are so many dog owners in the world. I guess that is the main reason I become a dog training expert. I was bit by a dog at a young age and I've never taken a liken to them ever since, so I can relate! I also just don't like the responsibility of having to clean up after a dog, train it, and have my house smell like dog. I agree 1000%, I don't see the point in having dogs as pets!

Every life form was put on this planet for a reason. The problem is not the animal, but the humans that have domesticated them. It is a dog owners responsibility to train, feed, bathe, brush, walk and clean up after their pet. You would think it would be common sense to know this, but unfortunately many homo sapiens are stupid and lazy creatures.

Well, I have four dogs (two are 12, two are 6 mo.,) so you can guess where I stand on the issue. :) However, the misbehavior by the owners mentioned about is inexcusable. Especially with the labs that bit you. That nasty excuse for a person needs some work.

The dogs need some serious training, but most of the reason for dog training classes is to train the owners!

Anyone with a dog needs to get training and four dogs require a lot more work than just one. If you can't/won't get the training then don't get the dog(s.)

You might want to attend a dog class yourself and tell them why you're there. You'll get a lot of interesting, useful info.

I did not like what you say. Dogs are not really like this, (like you described). If you love them with your heart and care for them just like your family, he'll definitely love you and respect you. They surely look cute when they are small and also look cute when they're big. Its your eyes that sees him cute.

If you train them perfectly they are not gonna bite anyone except the bad people. The training is what the dog needs the most! If you hate the dog since you got him, he's surely not gonna love you the same.

Wow, you sure are brave. I actually agree with a lot of it. I don't hate dogs but I don't really like them either. And I hate walking down the street and a neighbors dog goes ballistic and you wonder if that chain is going to hold them. I know of a child who was badly scarred in the face by a pit bull.
I have the same reaction around horses. I think I was bit as a child. My kids love horses but I'm afraid of them. And we won't even discuss snakes.
    Great lens.

Well, I guess your opinion is as good as the rest of us...but I have to point out that we could easily apply most of the negatives you talk about to "bad parenting" of children; stinky, noisy, misbehaving, out of control, eaters and poopers...what's the point of having children??

And unpredictable??? Compared to what....rocks? Have you raised teenagers by any chance??

Photos are fun and your story is well written; nobody should be mean to you....

Just wanted to add that I hope all dog owners would respect the views of others who don't want to roll around on the floor with their dog. There is nothing worse than a dog owner who will not respect the rights of others, although most dog owners I know are not that way. Just a few people are, and they need to listen up.

I respect your opinion. I like dogs... You have pointed out some negative attributes in dogs. They can smell, but so do lots of human beings, some dogs do drool. However it's a known fact, dogs have less bacterial flora in their mouths than humans. Do you kiss? If you are kissing a human, you are taking on more germs than you can imagine. I agree with your sentiments on dog owner's not picking up their dogs droppings... If a dog is well cared for, as a rule they are well behaved, and don't smell or bite. Blame owners for smelly unruly dogs. Dogs can't pick their owner's, if they could they would surly pick owners that would care for them properly.

My dog accepts me , and cares for me unconditionally. Need I say more...

I don't hate dogs but what I can't stand is when people are walking their dogs in the park and they don't have leashes on them. Then the dog comes up and sniffs and in your business and the person says...oh they won't bite.... Yeah they didn't bit but they just violated me!!! I never was bitten by a dog but was ran up a tree when I was young. I just wish that people with dogs can understand that not all people are dog lovers and may be even scared of them because of bad experiences. Great lens.

Love the duel...it is clear from all the input that this is a subject people are passionate about. And yes, i am a dog lover....there is nothing like a wonderful dog who will love his master unconditionally.

Even though I am a dog lover - this made me laugh - you drew me in with your writing style. We are all entitled to our own opinions and I think that is fine. Great Work and well deserved LOTD. Maybe one day you will have a change of heart for our furry friends.
  • Pixie_Patch Jun 2, 2010 @ 12:46 pm | delete
I do not like dogs either, you are quite brave because some, not all dog owners can be a little....well, sensitive about their dogs. I have mentioned before at a dinner party that I did not like dogs...I might well have said I ate a baby for breakfast from the reaction! Congratulations, brilliant!

Oh Heck I'm very pro pooch ... though I completely understand and respect that many have valid reasons not to! My own story was that our gentle little westie was often the only member of our family who could ring a smile to my dad's face after he suffered a major heart attack. She was worth her weight in gold to us all :)

Congratulations! I was bitten a few times as a young child too, but I cannot imagine my life without dogs -- they enrich our life experience in more positive than negative ways. I am daily thankful for the dogs in my life.
  • Heather426 Jun 2, 2010 @ 11:46 am | delete
Congrats on LOTD! loved the lens, but I love my little doggies to pieces and despite having been bitten myself, I don't blame the dogs, but the owners. I kind of agree with Kate that I wonder about people who HATE dogs. I like them better than a lot of people.
  • lyinseeker Jun 3, 2010 @ 1:36 am | delete
So you're saying that there are no bad dogs only bad owners? I like dogs because, no matter how I try, I cannot get a cat to rinse the dishes.
  • nightcats Jun 2, 2010 @ 11:31 am | delete
I don't hate dogs -- but I dislike the fact that many owners do nothing to train their dogs or clean up behind them. I am an animal lover, incidentally. This is a great lens. You have introduced a controversial topic and had the courage to take an unpopular viewpoint. Well done.
  • kimmanleyort Jun 2, 2010 @ 11:26 am | delete
We are all conditioned by our past and, obviously, you have reason to hate dogs. However, there are humans that attack and maim and you don't hate all humans, do you? Just like humans, the way dogs are raised has a lot to do with how they behave. As humans we have the consciousness to recognize our fears and do something about them. There are so many lovable dogs out there that could show you a whole new side of dogs. I have never hated dogs but definitely didn't love them - until I got my own, of course. I adore my dog. So, I guess I'm just hoping that you have a good experience with dogs some day. Very well done lens, by the way. And congrats on LOTD.
  • Nancy Heltman Jun 2, 2010 @ 11:19 am | delete
Guess you don't have children either. Dogs are children light - probably more unselfish love and devotion and a lot less expensive.
  • emeraldsteve Aug 21, 2010 @ 2:36 am | delete
why do people insist on comparing dogs to humans? They have nothing in common. They are absolutely, totally different. Bad traits in human beings does not excuse dogs! Dogs are highly irritating animals!
  • mukunda22 Jun 2, 2010 @ 11:04 am | delete

Love your lens, and can see why you don't like dogs. I've owned a few muts in my time, but I don't own one now. My daughter owns 3 german shepherds though. I made sure I visited her a lot when they were puppies so they would know me and be friends. :) Congratulations on LotD!

you may find this funny, but it's from your past life. Work with a therapist who is not afraid to explore this situation, then volunteer at a place where older, well behaved dogs who need care can teach you empathy. It is an imbalance that you must deal with or you will carry it onto your next life, not to mention that it's clearly dominating this life as well.
Fall off a horse you get back on. One bad dog doesn't mean all are bad and by the way, there are no bad dogs, only bad owners. Every dog begins as a CLEAN GOOD PUPPY
If you're a dog owner, see where you've gone wrong and fix it. There is no greater karma than hurting an innocent creature.

Congratulations for your LOTD for I Hate Dogs. Sorry that you hate dogs. :) I remember one time, we hit a dog in the road. He ran, we stopped and pulled up in the driveway of the nearby house. The folks there started calling the dog. Both back doors were open, and I was sitting in the back seat crying. All of a sudden, the dog showed up from nowhere and jumped in the seat with me and wouldn't quit trying to lick my face. No matter how I turned my head, no matter that he was making me cry harder, the dog would not stop! ...I was never so glad as to get away from there. ...But, I still love dogs. Oh, the stories I could tell. ...We had one that would sit in wait for passersby... :)

I don't love or hate dogs...but I have never been a dog person. It is cute how they play with their owners but it stops there. They stink and shed and are too needy for me. Three kids and a hubby is all I care to look after.

I love dogs, as you will see from my rebuttle novel above. I have similar feelings about kids as you do about dogs, but I don't hate all kids because there are some total rats, or because their parents can't make they behave all the time. Vicious dogs are a problem, and should not be allowed in public, or off leash. This I agree with. They ruin it for all good dogs. Sorry about your bad experiences. I hope one day you have some good dog experiences.

  • kitaenkitaen Jun 1, 2010 @ 3:55 pm | delete
I agree with both sides, except..some of the things can apply to kids too (clean up for years after them, they cry, take fits, soil themselves (ever have a teenager go drinking at a party behind your back, and get sick all over himself while sleeping in your house? lol)..I've had dogs all my life, pure breds, mutts, etc. and yes, I have a kid too! At least my dog doesn't talk back to me, bang the door or crash the car! There have been sometimes when I wished that I ONLY had dogs....lol. Dogs are loyal, protective and will give their live for you, their love is unconditional. I agree that dogs (medium to large) should be kept in places where you have the room to excercise them properly. You should train your dog to not jump on people or lick them...I detest a dog that jumps and lick you in the face, neither of my dogs do that! I have an Eastern Coyote-Shepard-Husky mix outside, and a Labrador-shepard inside. The inside dog sleeps at the door and never moves around the home, she is allowed only in the lower part of the house (finished basement). She is an incredible guard dog (good thing to have when you live out in the country with no neighbours). The outside dog barks when something that should not be is there. They are both well trained, non agressive and love kids. My dogs are trained not to poop on the lawn, but at least 25 feet away in the woods. Yes, it can be done. I like dogs, but not everyone's dogs. I detest it when people leave their animals the run of the house. My inside dog is not allowed on furniture, nor in any room unless we call her. I also detest it when people sit down to eat and feed their dogs from the table. My dogs do not enter the kitchen and do not know what table food is. My best friend has 3 dogs that live inside, a rotweiler , and two small small dogs..gets on my nerves when she invites me over for supper..the dogs will eat from your plate when you are not looking and sit there begging with their eyes..I just ignore animals like this..bad owners..not the dogs' fault! I had one of my beloved dogs who passed away a year ago, a beautiful, gentle American German Shepherd, actually prevent me from being mugged in a park in the city. She was not trained in agression, but when a young skinhead approached me and pulled a knife out asking for my money, she was on a leash next to me, she sprang in front of me, bristling and growling, at 125lbs, very dark in the face, the guy ran off ranting that he had been attacked by a police dog like her..phew for Kat..I never knew that she would of done that without any training..it was instintive to protect me. Dogs are also very people savy, they either like you or they don't. They feel your energy, if they dislike it, they stay away from you. If you are scared of them or show anxiety, it stresses them and an agressive dog will attack. When I was 3 years old, I had crawled into the neighbour's doghouse where a big mean, aggressive German Shepherd was tied. The dog never hurt me, but let me fall asleep next to him. My parents were crazy, finding me 2 hours later, fast alseep..they could not approach me, the dog would not let me until the owner came. Dogs, cats, farm animals have always been attracted to me, even though I like cats, I'm allergic to them. Dogs will usually listen to me , but not their owners..lol!! But, they are full of love and look at you with love in their eyes and will die for you. When people abuse animals full of love like this, they should be treated the same way. Certainly, when people dislike dogs or cats, often, I have found them to have been traumatized at some time in their life from an animal..like a woman I knew whom I would watch her young monster of a son tormenting the neighbour's dog until it finally snapped and bit him!! (I was actually glad this happened, the boy got a bite on his arm, not hard enuf to break the skin, but enough to give him a lesson.) When is mother started yelling that she would take the neighbour to court, I stepped in and told her: your kid spends his time tormenting the dog, kicking it, taking away his toys, food, throwing rocks at it , plus tormenting the other kids, he killed a kitten, you leave him outside all day, no supervision, he fell into the neighbours pool twice after climbing the pool fence!!! He took rocks and scratched the neighbours's car paint, broke 2 windows for fun, plays outside and rides his bike all around until 10 PM at night while his parents are drinking beer and smoking dope...she never took the neighbour to court...but the kid is afraid of dogs today..go figure...lol

I am sorry you have had such bad experiences with dogs. They are wonderful creatures. I think we keep them for the wrong reasons these days. Most people get them because they want a pet. They were orrinally bred to hunt and to protect. They have kind of lost their jobs. If you see a dog who has a job, like leading the blind, or a signal dog for those people with seasures, they are the sweetest, most well behaved animals around. They have a purpose. The ones who don't have a purpose are the ones who get in trouble. Kind of like humans.

Oh my....this brought back memories of living in Romaia where dogs ran in packs, tons of street dogs. I was surrounded by a pack of about 20 at a park, got bit twice by same dog another time, and wouldn't walk down another street as these street dogs are very territorial.

I have a dog....don't know why I have a dog, and keep him in at night so as not to disturb the neighbors. I hate listening to barking dogs especially at night.

Congratulations on your LOTD....good subject :)

congrats on LOTD for an unusual lens...I love all of God's creations, I can't hate them I just might not favore them...anyway I can see your fear and anxiety about dogs, but I would hate the "owner/persons training and ownership" of the dog, the dog usually reflects the owner. Unfortunately your fear is picked up by dogs or animals and they become insecure and act dominent...I hope you understand that....and I wish you all the best in overcoming your fears...I also have been bitten so do understand, but after finding the solution it has saved me...and dogs.

I'am so happy someone stand up and had the guts to say I hate dogs. So do I. I can't even begin to understand why people love them. The most idiotic thing i heard is "if you don't like dog you don't like people"...I feel the opposite. Thank you for giving us a voice!
Unfortunately it's not really the dog themselves the problem most of the time but the careless owners.

Good topic and brave too. It's such a shame that stupid, thoughtless owners allow their dogs to behave so badly that they frighten children to such an extent that they take that fear into adulthood.

Yes, this is a great topic! I do love dogs, although I only have cats at home these days. And that's because I thought our house wasn't suitable for a dog especially when no-one was home most of the day. Having a dog is a serious responsibility!
  • WordCustard May 24, 2010 @ 1:43 pm | delete
Fun topic for a debate. I can definitely see your point of view, and you have my sympathy for the running as there's nothing worse than being ambushed by dogs who have been left to run around out of control. Personally, in these cases I think the problem is as much irresponsible owners as the dogs themselves. I'm guessing you DO like sheep though? Sheep are cute -- and I bet they would agree with you about the dogs too! :)
  • LKW31 May 24, 2010 @ 1:59 pm | delete
I much prefer sheep, they are better behaved and there is no need to pick up their poo! Thank you for swinging by and commenting. I agree, some dog owners are a nightmare - the dog that bit my bottom had a vile owner who yelled at me.
  • WildFacesGallery May 24, 2010 @ 12:51 pm | delete
You gave me a goo laugh this morning, though probably not your plan. AS I kinda said in your duel many of the reason you state for not liking dogs are similar to my reason for not liking children. :) Hmmm.
  • LKW31 May 24, 2010 @ 1:29 pm | delete
No I am very pleased I gave you a good laugh! I agree, children have many similar traits to dogs - but they don't jump up and lick my face!
  • theraggededge May 24, 2010 @ 5:48 pm | delete
Yeah, but, children mostly grow out of all that. Round about the age of 30, I'd say.

Kids don't jump up and lick your face? Why not?
