I know how it feels to have a bad credit score. I also know that improving your credit score is not a dream, but a reality. All it takes is some determination, research, and a little bit of time. Like most people, I started out thinking that my credit report was kept in a vault somewhere and I would never have access to it, or at least not for free. After a little research I found www.AnnualCreditReport.com. You can access credit reports from all 3 Major Credit Agencies (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) for FREE once a year.

Within five minutes on the site I had printed my 3 credit reports printed. If you have never seen your credit report, or you want to get an updated version, be sure to hit this site. The only thing this site does not provide for free is your credit score. This is the most valuable piece of information available to asses your credit rating, but starting with your actual reports to review for inaccuracies is always the best step.
