I have never seen snow

Fresh Snow seen on photographs or winter scenes described in books, I have always wondered what it felt like to experience snow,and winters.

North country scene:
A hundred leagues locked in ice,
A thousand leagues of whirling snow.
Both side of the Great Wall
One single white immensity.
The Yellow River's swift current
Is stilled from end to end.
The mountains dance silver snakes
And the highland charge like wax-hued elephants.
Vying with heaven in stature.
On a fine day, the land,
Clad in white, adorned in red,
Crows more enchanting.
This land so rich in beauty

That proud son of Heaven,

Knew only shooting eagles, bow outstretched.
All are past and gone!
For truly great men
Look to this age alone.

The romance in the words used to describe snow,its beauty and the silence and the cold stark reality of bare trees.

The pure whiteness of undisturbed snow,seems like a real wonderland, white upon white,making anything in colour stand out.

I am sure I am not alone in never having seen snow. There must be millions living all over the world where it never snows. Most people in Maldives has probably never seen snow.

Once a long time ago, I did prepare to go to Italy during winter. It wasn't for a holiday,it was a working trip. I had prepared for the trip by gettingWinter clothes and all that would be needed for a short stay in the winters cold.

A Schengen visa at that time would have allowed me to travel around Europe to sightsee. Sadly it was cancelled,my employer's decision and I was left with winter clothes and nowhere to use them.

I had been looking forward to see cold winter and snow.

Shovelling snow every year it seems takes its toll on your heart, especially those who do little to no exercise according to this article.
