Great idea to get young women and teens to be aware of breast cancer. It's important for young women to know their risks and family history. I think this is catchy for the younger crowd and find it cool that you donate the procedes from the bracelets. Check out my site www.mybreastcanceranswers.com as I created this for benefit of breast cancer survivors.

Early detection is so important, the more awareness the better! I don't think that young girls especially don't realize the importance of checking their own body, so I'm all for the 'I love boobies' accessories and clothing since everyone knows exactly what it is referring to
  • LighttheSpark Jun 10, 2011 @ 3:27 am | delete
I've recently been involved in a campaign in the UK to raise awareness and learnt loads about symptoms, so used that to create a lens and cartoon (Mary's Story) - all lenses that help inform women potentially save lives (my lens is at http://www.squidoo.com/save-your-life-how-to-recognise-symptoms-of-breast-cancer)
  • skiesgreen Jun 4, 2011 @ 5:33 pm | delete
No, but my grandmother died of cervical cancer, which is somehow related. Aside from her no one else appears to have this gene. Featured this on What do Genes Do. Thank you for an important lens. HUgs

Like many people, I've lost loved ones to cancer. Thank you for a very helpful and informative lens about the Keep a Breast Foundation. I hope one day we'll find a cure. Until then, we have to keep raising awareness, and never give up hope.

I know that the intention is well, but I'm not sure the message is portrayed respectfully. But if it's raising money for a cause then I'm glad it is making an impact for those who are suffering from breast cancer.

My mother was lucky and beat Breast cancer, because she caught it early. My ex-husbands mother ignored hers and so it took her life. It is scary to discover you have cancer, no denying, but dying is scarier. Great lens!

So many people suffer this awful disease and consequent invasive treatment and disfigurement. Hormonal pollution of our lives (water/food) need to be attended as one aspect of prevention. Clearly diet, lifestyle and environment are very important too. Good work.

I just read about the loss of Elizabeth Edwards, and, of course, there are FAR too many women whose lives end for the same reason. I pray that someday all women can talk about breast cancer in the past tense.

My heart goes out to the whole Edwards family at this time. I hope you are right Ramkitten, that one day we will use cancer as a word in the past tense.
