I love sewing by hand using Vintage Fabric

Hello, My name is Diana and I am a fabric addict.

I have a huge stash of vintage fabrics !
I had already had quite a bit when a friend of mine who was working for an auctioneer called to tell me about the roomful of sewing stuff from an estate of a recently deceased quilt-a-holic that they were auctioning off that night.
So, of course I HAD to go - LOL
I bought about 3/4 of the fabric that was there.
All of it was in great condition as it was kept in plastic tote boxes.
I bought about a dozen or so tote boxes FULL of vintage fabrics !

I have most of this in my Gift Shop in Hubbard, Ohio for sale as most of it is cotton and I don't have time to quilt.

I will keep all of the thicker fabrics as they will be great for the hand-sewn eye mask pillows and neck pillows (great for travel too) that I make and sell in my online store http://OrganicGiftsByDiana.ecrater.com/

I CAN sew with sewing machines and I even collect old Singer sewing machines, but I much prefer sewing by hand.
I can take my work anywhere and it is very therapeutic to hold the fabric in my hands and know that I will be creating a one-of-a-kind piece with it.
And, it is even more special when it is vintage fabric as there isn't much of the same design anymore so it is more unique and using vintage fabric instead of new is also helping to Reduce-Reuse-Recycle too !
