Creating an Action Plan for Internet Marketing
When you create an internet marketing action plan the first thing, before you create a plan is decide on ONE Internet Marketing Strategy.
Are you going to be an affiliate? Then choose ONE product or service to promote. I suggest finding something that has a variety of products that will serve a wide range of people.
Are you doing MLM? If so, choose a company and stick to it. Make sure you find a company that sells products that interest you. Network marketing companies come in every shape and size, with a wide variety of start up costs.
Are you going to be a blogger ~ ok. Get your blog up and running and do THAT.
It is really important to stick to ONE Internet marketing strategy! When you jump from thing to thing there is no way you will have success at anything.
I say this over and over again, and even find myself jumping around. Just make sure you check yourself once in a while and make sure you are still on the right road to get to where you wanted to go!

Internet Marketing Action Plan ~ Step 1
Choose your target marketI am a stay at home mom. I have chosen stay at home moms for my target market.
All I mean when I say "target market" is this is who I am going to focus my attention on.
This can be anyone! I suggest you choose a group of people you can relate to, and better yet you are part of. This will make the next 2 steps even easier.
Here are some examples to get you thinking. Are you a trucker? Are you getting to a point you can barely afford to drive your truck? Do you think there are other truckers out there in your situation?
Are you a life coach trying to get your practice set up and need some extra cash? Do you think there are other coaches out there in similar situations?
Are you a teacher? Summer's coming, do you need some extra cash during the summer? Do you think there are other teachers with the same need?
Are you a horse lover? Is it getting harder to afford to take care of your horses? Do you think other horse owners might be in the same predicament?
It's not hard to come up with a target market you are passionate about. The options are literally endless.
Choose your target market. That's step 1.

Find out where your target market hangs out online.Sounds simple, and it is. You need to find out where these people are online. Are they using yahoo/google groups? Are they on cafemom? Myspace? Do they have forums all their own?
If you don't know off hand, it's not hard to find out. You can google your target market + forum or community to easily find forums or communities where your target market hangs out.
Internet Marketing Action Plan ~ Step 3
Get into conversation with your target market.Now I'm not talking about conversing about your business or affiliate products. I'm talking about talking about LIFE!
Get in there and get to know people, let them get to know you. The better people know you, the better chance you have they might like you. ;)
When people know you and like you they are going to want to know what you are doing!
They will be able to find this out from you signature file or your profile.
Whether you are using yahoo/google groups, forums or communities you have the option to add a "signature file." You can use this signature file to let people see what you are doing.
Wherever you are, there is most likely the opportunity for you to fill out a "profile" page. This is imperative!!! You need to fill out your profile page about YOU, not your business. You can add a link to your merchant page, or business page from your profile. Just make sure you are talking about yourself and not your business within your profile.
It may seem too easy, but it is a simple system that really works. Give it a try and see how you do.
Find Support to Stick to your Internet Marketing Action Plan
I have personal experience with how hard it can be to stay focused on track. The emails that come to your inbox are wonderfully crafted to get your to do what the sender wants you to do.However, that may take you way off course from the plan of action you have set up for yourself.
The best way I know of to stay on course is to find support. Find a group of people who are involved in the same ONE THING as you and get together and help keep each other on track.
You can set up a community at Ning.com or a yahoo or google group. There's tons of ways to set up a support network, but set something up!
It will keep you on track and it will help you and everyone on your team succeed.
