What Is A Squeeze Page?

A Squeeze Page is a page whose sole purpose is to capture a name and email address before letting the visitor go any further, i.e. the opt-in is not optional if the visitor wants to find out more.

There was a time when people would readily enter their details to proceed to a website. These days, people are somewhat tired of having to give their details just to get 'permission' to go to a website.

Therefore, tactics need to change and the owner needs to offer an incentive in exchange for those coveted details.

Instant Squeeze Page Generator can take care of that for you!

Why Use A Squeeze Page?

A Squeeze Page helps you build a subscriber list.

Suppose you're trying to sell products on a website. You can work to get visitors to your website but if they visit and don't buy then you've lost them - probably for ever.

If you can capture their contact details then you can follow up with them later and get valuable additional opportunities to get them to make that purchase.

A squeeze page is a common way to do just that. You provide a simple page that's linked to your autoresponder and anyone who fills in their details is automatically added to your mailing list.

Assuming that your squeeze page was targeted then you're now going to be building a list of subscribers that are likely to be interested in future related product offers. The value of this can't be understated.

How Do I Create A Squeeze Page?

A Squeeze Page is a web page just like any other. It's created in the same way and it needs to be sat on a public web server somewhere.

You can design a squeeze page quite easily yourself if you have the skills and you can host it on your own web hosting account. Your autoresponder provider will generally give you the code you need for the actual opt-in form for your autoresponder and normally you can just drop this code into your HTML for your squeeze page.

If you have an autoresponder account but you don't have web hosting then Instant Squeeze Page Generator may be perfect for you.

It allows you to create your squeeze page with no design experience and have that page hosted for you. All you have to provide is the code for your autoresponder opt-in form.

Using Instant Squeeze Page Generator

to create your lovely new squeeze page

Creating your own squeeze page with ISPG is a doddle. But remember to build a list, you need an autoresponder. Here's two I highly recommend:

Aweber is the probably the best paid autoresponder around - unlimited lists, maximum deliverability and more features than you can shake a stick at.

TrafficWave is a great, easy to use autoresponder - unlimited lists and also a great affiliate program.

Both autoresponders will work great for building your list. They are both paid services but they won't break the bank. You can get free services but your list won't really be yours - the provider will be sending adverts of their own to your list.

Each autoresponder will provide you with the code that needs to be inserted in the squeeze page - we'll need that a little later...

Roll your own

Step 1 - Choose your template

Easy-peasy - just choose a template for your squeeze page.

There are various attractive, professionally designed templates all ready for you to customise.

Here is an example...

Step 2 - Choose a background

Choose a background image for your page, like the one here...

Roll your own

Step 3 - Choose your free gift

Now this is where it gets neat.

You can bribe your potential subscribers with a free gift.

There are several to choose from and these really do help get people to give you their email address.

Roll your own

Step 4 - Create your headline text

The first part you want to customise is the heading.

Choose the font, colour, style and size of your headline (don't worry, you can come back and change any of these at any time).

Put a lot of thought into your headline, it's very important!

Roll your own

Step 5 - Main text (the pitch)

OK.

Here's where the rubber meets the road.

This is where you need to provide a few benefits to signing up to your list.

But your squeeze page is gonna look so good, getting them signed up is like stealing babies from a candy store - real easy!

You have a full WYSIWYG editor (what you see is what you get) which makes it a doddle to create attractive text - bulleted lists, bold, colours etc.

Roll your own

Steps 6 and 7

I'll wizz through these because there's not much to say about them.

Step 6 - insert your autoresponder code.

Step 7 - give your page a title and footer

Roll your own

Step 8 - view your handywork

Now you can preview your new squeeze page.

You can also choose to have it hosted (meaning you don't need a web host and don't have anything to upload, you just have a link to promote) or you can have the html to host the page yourself.

If you choose to have it hosted for you then you get the additional benefit of some hits tracking!

I don't want to major on this as it's not the real benefit but you can also benefit from sales of the bribe you gave away to encourage them on your list. Just make sure you include the right link in your autoresponder series.
