We Are All Accountable for Reducing Our Carbon Footprint

ThinkHost Plans I want to thank you for visiting my lens. Reducing our carbon footprint is very important to me and I try to make decisions in my personal life and my business that reduces my carbon footprint.
Everyday we need to identify a way to reduce our carbon footprint and demand everyone to do the same. As this lens grows I will add new ways we to help the environment and other green issues.

What is A Carbon Footprint

Your carbon footprint should be defined as

The amount of greenhouse gases to support human activities directly or indirectly. The amount of Carbon Dioxide we use as humans is listed as(co2) tons per year.

What I want to control is how much of a carbon footprint we have as individuals.

There is a blanket of gases that surrounds our planet. We call this our atmosphere. The earth is heated by the sun. The ground and water absorbs heat. What is not absorbed is reflected back into the atmosphere The atmosphere keeps our planet
warm by catching this heat this is called the greenhouse effect. The problem is by burning fossil fuels the blanket gets thicker and is able to hold more heat this starting to lead to climate changes that will impact everyone on earth.

How to reduce your carbon footprint

There is many different things we can do to reduce our carbon footprint.
1. Drive less
2. Use high efficiency products
3. recycle
The list is endless but one of the biggest impact we can have is with the products we use or purchase everyday. There are a lot of companies making their products from renewable energies such as solar and wind power. One such product that I just started to use to host my websites is ThinkHost They use solar and wind power 100% of the time. Just think if we all demanded that all products we use must be made with renewable energy. We can reward the companies that use renewable energy by using their products

Global Warming

Time is Running Out

There has been so much discussion of carbon dioxide from fossil fuel use and its effect on global warming that many people think of it first when becoming more green. Although this is the primary source of greenhouse gases, other gases such as methane (meat production), nitrous oxide (cars, industry), and fluorinated gases are also significant contributors to a warming planet.
