Hey Linda, both Tuneup and Rinse have a remove duplicates feature along with an automatic track info finder.

Try downloading the program trial version and purchase the full version if it works well for you. This is only if you have large number of songs. Good Luck!

    :)

Hello: Here's my problem....I have sometimes 10 songs with the same title and name, but only One points to the Real Song! The other's end up with an "!". Sadly, I only get the "!" After I click on the song. Is there a fast/easy way to locate all the names that are not linked to the actual songs? Thank you!!!

Sorry about your bad experience Angry, if you have downloaded the paid version of either program then you should contact support.

Good info - my iTunes library is pretty well maintained, but it's always been done manually. lol

Be aware...Rinse only fixes the metadata in the iTunes library NOT your original native file. I bought Rinse and it does pretty good job with iTunes but if you use iTunes to send music to cloud or another device it uses the native file which still has the old data. Think best to clean up your native file.

After a recent iTunes update. Many of my albums are now displayed as single tracks. Very annoying !

This is without question one of the most difficult parts of a music collection, one of my pet peeves is the "live" stuff showing up as duplicate entries
