Ibanez Guitars: An Introduction

Ibanez is a guitar brand that originate from Japan. Initially they sold copies of the popular American guitar brands such as Fender and Gibson.

 However, there was some legal trouble with copying these iconic brands, so they started to innovate and create some original guitar designs.

 Very quickly Ibanez guitars became very popular in their own right. The guitars are designed for power, speed, playability and great sound. The other thing Ibanez guitars are really famous for is stunning, edgy graphics. This is a brand that added spice to the bland guitar market, which had effectively been selling the same old guitar shapes for decades (and still does.... yawn)

Ibanez guitars are very popular with metal bands and they have been played by some of the great electric guitarists of the 20th century.
