Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs takes our zany characters to a whole new era. The meltdown is over and a new series of adventures is about to begin.

The movie begins with Manny and Ellie awaiting the birth of their first baby. The introduction of a new mammoth into the herd is causing tension between them- Diego is pondering leaving and Sid is feeling a bit left out.

The twist which introduces dinosaurs to the storyline is Sid falling through a whole in the ice and entering a cave where he finds 3 dinosaur eggs. Desperately wanting to be part of a family, he decides to adopt them as his own and prove he can be a responsible parent. Unfortunately, the eggs turn out to be T-rex eggs and momma T-rex is none too pleased to find them missing. The result is her seeking out the eggs and the thief that took them and when Sid is swept away to the Dinosaur world along with momma T-rex and her 3 little ones, Manny, Ellie, Diego, Crash and Eddie go on a quest to save him.

Probably the best part of the whole movie is the introduction of Buck- a wild and crazy adventure seeking weasel who found himself trapped in the Dinosaur world ages ago and who becomes the tour guide in the hunt for Sid.
