I Ching

Ranked #10,058 in Education, #226,172 overall

The I Ching is the ancient Chinese Book of Changes: a profound, practical oracle that has been in continuous use for at least 3,000 years. Today it's helping more people than ever to turn on the lights and see all the dimensions and wonders of their own lives.

I'm a diviner with Yi (Yijing is another way of writing I Ching) and would love to introduce you to it. Here are some links and news items to get you started.

That infinitao site is interesting - I like the approach. A shame there is no translation of the texts, but the commentary isn't bad at all. Is it your site, Tito?

    Hello Squidoo!

Here is another app for iPhone and iPod touch called Yi Jing:

    http://itunes.apple.com/app/yi-jing-book-of-changes/id311377342?mt=8

It uses the accelerometer to toss coins, records your questions in a searchable journal, and lets you switch between different translations, including Carol K Anthony's "A Guide to the I Ching", Gregory Richter's "Yi Jing / Book of Changes" with gloss and pinyin, and more. We also have R.L. Wing's "I Ching Workbook" and "The I Ching or Book of Changes" by Richard Wilhelm / Cary F. Baynes for additional in-app purchase. There are in-depth features for inspecting component trigrams, changing lines, and related hexagrams, for more advanced I Ching users.

Compare your options, check them out, and let us know what you think of our app on our Facebook page:

There is an application for iPhone and iPod Touch called I Ching - the Book of Changes http://bit.ly/9S83iK. All you have to do is toss coins with your iPhone (use the accelerometer to toss the coins) and think hard about your question. The coins must be thrown six times and each line is built up one on top of the other until the Hexagram is formed. Next check the Hexagram you got. What do you think about using I Ching via iPhone?
