Much Clown Luv
The Insane Clown Posse has a message. If you are not a fan you might have a misconception or stereotype what that message is about. If you are a fan you are well aware that I.C.P. sends much clown luv to all it's family of Juggalo's and Juggalette's, and we luv them back! Hidden in the hip-hop, rap, underground beats of this lyrical face painted duo are messages of self-esteem, peer pressure, family, brotherhood, mental frustrations, optimism, frienship, drugs, crime and the search for the path to Shangri-la, a*k*a* "Heaven".

More than just a painted face.
If you don't know, don't judge.

formerly Inner City Posse, are Violent J.(Josheph Bruce) and Shaggy 2 Dope(Joseph Utsler). They began more than a decade ago, out of Detroit, Michigan. The ending of the Inner City Posse gang into the beginning of The Insane Clown Posse came about from a dream. On nights sleep brought about a visit to the, at that time, gangbanger, Joe Bruce. An unforgetable vision of the Dark Carnival. Each of I.C.P. 6 Jokers Cards represent a character from within the wicked message he recieved. Heeding this warning, the artists have based thier message to the world through thier music on changing life's path and saving yourself before it's too late.
The lyrics within thier music warns fans of what each choice may bring. In the 6th Jokers Card, The Wraith, the message is brought to light in the song lyrics of 'The Unveiling',
"Truth is we follow GOD, we`ve always been behind him,
The Dark Carnival is GOD and may all Juggalos find him! He's out there!".
"We all gonna die, but I`m not gonna fry
Even though most never try.
I`m not gonna let this pass me bye, no."
"yeh, he`s everywhere!
Im sayin he's anywhere!
juggalos, hes out there!
yeh, yeh, everywhere!
He's Out There".

There are a lot of folks that are not fans, some even hate I.C.P. Can any one of them claim to be aware of what I.C.P. is about, what there music means? Everyone I've asked to give a listen has been pleasantly enlightened. Which could explain the stats on thier record sales. They flourish dispite the underground sound not getting any advertisement or promotion from MTV, radio stations or television commercials. The Great Milenko went platinum, an ICP documentary video went platinum. Also, The Wraith: Shangri-La came out on Psychopathic (a completely independent worldwide giant), and is currently approaching Gold certification. The Amazing Jeckel Brothers album, which featured Snoop Dogg and Ol' Dirty (of Wu-Tang Clan), also went platinum after debuting at #4 on Billboard's Top 200. Hell's Pit, debuted at #12 on the Billboard top 200, and sold 75,000 copies in its first week. Thier DVD movie, Big Money Hustlas, also platinum.
To quote an agent at the William Morris Agency:
"Over 500,000 fans have seen ICP shows since 2001 across the US, Europe, and Australia at hundreds of sold out shows around the world." They have well over 20 cd's and the groups web site to purchase various logo'd items, www.hatchetgear.com, is one of the largest music merchandising operations in the world.

Juggalos and Juggalettes are the diehard fans that are willing to screech and scream and fight to their death in order to protect the dignity of their favorite band. Each look to the other as family. A bond, brotherhood, created and upheld from the morality that consistantly pours from the songs they swing thier hatchets to. Which is a 'passing the torch' like symbolism that is durived from the Hatchetman. The groups logo.
So, before you continue to think how you've been thinkin', stop and hear what's being said.
Give these songs a listen.

SHAGGY 2 DOPE
About Shags: www.myspace.com/shaggy2dope
It wasn't until the solo Shaggy2Dope release "Fu@% Tha !*ck Off", that I realized the versatility of this artist and his extreme contribution to this group, he's AMAZING!

Shaggy is the person who invented and drew the Hatchetman (the Psychopathic Records logo) as well as numerous ICP album covers.
The Gathering of Juggalos ~ http://www.juggalogathering.com/splash.html
A 3 day annual event for Juggalos and Lettes
The year 2000 was big for Psychopathic; a full length movie was released, new artists were being signed, JCW was running well. So to add more flavor to the mix, Psychopathic held it's first Gathering of the Juggalos in 2000. It drew over 7,000 people to Novi, Michigan for the 2 day event.

*One of these days I shall graze @ the Gathering, it's my 'Woodstock'.!

Additional Psychopathic Records Artists ~ http://www.twiztid.com/

from Eastpointe, Michigan, formed in 1997. Twiztid was originally called House of Krazees (HOK), which consisted of Mr. Bones, Hectik, and The R.O.C. After the break up of HOK, Mr. Bones and Hectik renamed their duo Twiztid. The group consists of Jamie Madrox and Monoxide Child. Since their 1998 debut, the group has become the second most popular group on the Psychopathic Records (after Insane Clown Posse), and has a loyal following of Juggalos of their own.
BlaZe Ya DeaD HoMie
And Another....
Blaze, from Mount Clemens, Michigan has been active as a rapper for several years. Blaze started out in the group "2 Krazie Devils" along with partner Skrapz. Blaze used the name "Psycho C" and Skrapz was known as "Krazy". The group had the production of Twiztid's former rap partner The R.O.C. 2 Krazie Devils never really evolved and soon became known as "The Sleepwalkaz". Blaze changed his name to "The Sandman". The Sleepwalkaz, much like 2 Krazie Devils, never really went anywhere and the group split up. Skrapz went on to do another project with the R.O.C. and Blaze went on to work with Twiztid. When Violent J of the Insane Clown Posse approached Twiztid for a record deal on Psychopathic Records, they gladly took the offer.
BoOnDoX
The Latest Addition ~ I luv this clown!
David Hutto is a southern hip hop artist from Covington, Georgia better known by his stage name Boondox. He is currently signed to Insane Clown Posse's Psychopathic Records label. Boondox is the first rapper on the infamous label not to hail from a city environment - instead, according to label-mate Violent J, Boondox comes from "the crops". The Newton County native is easily identified by his distinct look - a flannel shirt, straw hat and sinister face paint. His outfit is reminiscent of a scarecrow. In addition to this, Boondox also sports the Hatchetman pendant typical of all artists on the Psychopathic Records label. In songs, Boondox repetitively refers to himself as a seventh son of a seventh son.

We Soopa!

(also known as the SV) was a hardcore rap group signed to Psychopathic Records, and consisted of members of the same label rapping under different names. Membership includes vocalists Mr. Heart (L.A.V.E.L.), Mr. Diamond (Violent J), Mr.Spade later changed to Black Hitler (Esham), and Mr. Club (Shaggy 2 Dope). The group is characterized by its hard-hitting and often noisy basslines, outrageous lyricism, and gimmick as notorious criminals with superpowers.

- YES. There are a lot of misconceptions about juggalos, and explaining to everyone how the music is not mindless, and is not evil, gets to be a never-ending chore. Thanks for giving me an article that I can just give people the link to. Well-written, and it's nice to see another juggalo on Squidoo. MCL!
