Identity Theft Reports

In 2011, more than 11 million Americans were victims of identity theft. If that news is not bad enough, the 2011 statistics was over a 10% increase. Identity theft is a common vocabulary word heard in when we turn on the television, pick up a newspaper or surf the internet. But what happens to the victims? Individuals finding themselves a victim of this crime find out the hard way that the bad part is not over after they recognize the crime and report it to the authorities. Unfortunately, the harsh reality is that reporting it is just the beginning of a long journey of clearing up their name.

The crime of identity theft does not appear to have a set in stone solution in the near future. So, prevention and early detection are the techniques we are left with in preserving our good name.
