The Death of Fad Diets

Lose 9 Pounds in 11 Days is the claim of 'Fat Loss 4 Idiots'.  Does it work? Well, read on. 

 If you are anything like me, you have unsuccessfully tried to lose weight, most probably in various ways. The problem with fad diets with unrealistic promises of weight loss is that they are so hyped that they confuse us as they touch upon our weaknesses to shed those pounds and look good.  I've tried or rather attempted to try almost all of them.  I have done everything short of taking weight loss pills and that is something I decided I was not going to do.  So, lo and behold, I found 'Fat Loss 4 Idiots', an ebook recommended by a friend. 

The revolutionary discovery revealed in this ebook is that when we rotate the foods we eat, our metabolism needs a few days to adjust itself to a norm, and this forces the fat to burn. Your metabolism burns calories based on what you ate yesterday, not what you will eat tomorrow, because it settles down into a pattern.  Well the shifting calories theory suggests to change the type of foods you eat and this will prevent your metabolism from just settling down and force it into full gear. 

Yes, it seemed a little complicated to me too but the book comes with an online menu generator that generates your meals for you (in other words it calculates the rotating for you).  Another plus is that your menu is created from a list of 15-30 foods that you pick yourself.  So, definitely eating foods that I picked myself and the fact that I would not have to buy any special packaged meals was a big plus, but I think the money back guarantee is what tipped me over.  I figured I had nothing to lose since the policy was no questions asked.  To my delight, I could start to see the results in even a day or 2.  Since then I repeated the diet twice to lose 17 pounds (i lost only 8 lbs once) and then followed the casual weight loss method to lose an extra 3 pounds and now I am at my pre-pregnancy weight. 

'Fat Loss 4 Idiots' is based upon 10 Idiot Proof Rules,  some of which are so simple you really feel like an idiot.  I will share some of these rules below just so you can see how this diet works.

Why This Diet Works

I'm sharing these rules with you so you can see what makes this diet unique and how you will be able to lose weight when you follow this diet. The diet is based on these fundamental rules. I am only sharing half of the rules so you can see what this diet is about. Don't be fooled by the simplicity of these rules. These simple rules is what make this a NON-FAD diet.
  1. Eat 4 meals per day to distribute the calories you take in per day.(Hey, if I can lose weight by adding an extra meal, why not!)
  2. Meals should be a specific rotation of protein and carbohydrate rich meals. Each day of the 11 days the rotation will change. This is the foundational method behind the diet. It is explained in more detail in the book. You may be thinking boy it'll be complicated to create these meals. Well, the online diet generator creates the meal plan for you and it comes with the book for lifetime access.
  3. Avoid sweets. Sounds simple right. Yes this is a rule, and it works. That's why they call this the 'Idiot Proof' Diet.
  4. Only have drinks that have 10 calories or less. This includes Diet Soda!!, water, iced tea, low calorie coffee. This gives you a lot of flexibility, and yet another reason to complete this diet successfully.
  5. Drink at least 10 glasses of water per day. Water significantly helps the weight loss process and enhances the effects of the other rules as well.
